I do all my own servicing, I don't need a girlfriend to pay money to.
It's as if society expects me to act like a cockmongler when I'm driving the Commodore. People always look at me weird when I go the speed limit, or indicate for more than 2.5 clicks or accelerate moderately off the lights... wtf

Full service on my car I prefer to DIY.
Full service on something else, normally only costs me a backrub or 2 Midori's.

Nah just keep going back to the same one, first few services cost a full massage or alot of Midori, getting a regulars discount now

I had a full service done on my car just last week...and while it cost a bit (being the 30,000k service and all), I feel I got my money's worth.

Full service on something else...that usually costs me a couple of drinks...and I usually get my money's worth

finding a good mechanic and sticking with them is the key to getting your monies worth. Many mechanics will take you for a ride with a small fee here and a small fee there, pretty soon all those small fees add up to one big one.

I had a mate who took his 5cyl Turbo Diesel Land Rover Defender in for a service whilst out touring, when he got the bill it had 8 spark plugs on it. He picked up on it and complained and got a few discounts for his troubles but many people just pay it and dont look.

If you are going to pay for someone else to service your car make sure they give you an itemised bill so you know where every one of the dollars you are giving them has gone. Then check over it thoroughly, if you arent sure ask. If you arent happy, go somewhere else.

I personally do all my own mechanical work, i'd rather have the money for labor costs in my pocket.

Full Service? Never heard of it. You do know this is a car enthusiasts internet site don't you?

I have to admit, everytime I have ever paid for a Service on either my Commodore or Gemini, it has NEVER been serviced properly, and half of the things I paid for, were not done!
