179HP block (cool)
Hydramatic (seriously horrid)
Was in way better condition than the old photo shows. It used to shine up really well. This also shows my first working with fibreglass if you look on the arse end where the bumper should be you'll see.

First car I had was an 85 camira for free. First car I bought was a 1984 Nissan Bluebird for $400
An FB sedan, purchased for $200 in late 1970. The poor old thing was painted in the worst colour scheme ever offered on FB's. The colours were named Scallop Beige and Morning Grey.
It was really pink and grey. Real 1960 stuff. 11 months of fun and freedom and 11 months of embarassment at the colour scheme until it was traded.
VC SL Commodore in Canary Yellow. I had no say in it, was my 18th Bday present. Was so glad when it went.
1976 Mk1 Golf GTi had it when i was 16-17 dad had me practicing how to drive manual in it, it was absolutely rooted and shit itself in the end.
it looked like this.... but in shit condition.

1980 4 speed, 4 door, 1600 Ford Escort, canary yellow. Awsome car, wish i had never sold it.
in '95 i bought a $2000 1984 honda civic and slowly did it up lol. What an animal. Sprayed it 2pack yellow, TX3 turbo white rims, CRX seats. Man it was cool... 'nt. I made the secondary barrel open manually instead of vacuum with the aid of a heavy spring and a good old filing of the linkage cam.
I used to get smoked by stock V6 commo's though. LOL they were my worst enemy. Still went hard for its day though.
1995 Toyota Corolla Seca that I bought when I just got my license for $15 000. Wasn't too bad I suppose- was good on fuel but it was the most gutless car I have ever driven!
my first car back in 1989 was a 202 auto SL VH Commodore $4500
my second car (and my current car) VH SS (was a 4.2L 4 spd) , paid $4700 about 5 years ago
My first car was a datsun 1200 ute that dad gave me and i learnt to drive it around the paddock, its still in the paddock rusting away but still runs on 3 cylinders it wont die. Then when i got my Ps i baught a vs wagon off my mate for 1000 bucks i crashed it then stripped it and probably got more for the parts than i payed for it.
My first car (in 2003) was a 93' 4 door Daihatsu Charade. Lol. Was actually quite nice, good paint, mags, sound system. lol. Bought it off my Dad who'd bought it off my sister, for $2000. Since then my cars have been (in order)
95 EF Falcon XR6 - $10k
04 BA Falcon XR6 - $25k
92 Suzuki Swift Gti - $5k
99 Subaru WRX - $17k (easily the car I most wish I still had)
01 VU Commodore S - $10.7k
98 VT Commodore SS - Was on the lot for $10k, done a straight trade with my VU (after having owned the VU for 2 yrs)
My first car was my vr wagon which I bought off mum for $3000. I still have it as my daily. I paid $35000 for my calais second hand so that was a lot more.
First VH SL for 2k
Since gone through a VH SLE 4k, VL RB30 Turbo 4.5k, VN $50, VR SS 4K, VY Exec 25k, VZ Chubby 6L 55k.
Honda Legend 88 Turbo 6 Import 5k, Hilux offroader 5k, and many other randoms
Cheapest $50 dearest $55000.00.
first car was a vb sle for $300 but the fines and charges for underage driving took that number up quite a lot lol. since then theres been :
pintara
xb fairmont 500
ed gli
vc sl wagon
xh panel van
nc 5.0 fairlane
vr acclaim
toyota crown
vk vacationer wagon
hx premier

my first car was a vl i payed 3500 for about 6 years ago, sold it to sum fat bitch for $250 and she still owes me $140 more than 3 years later. had a vp, lasted about 18 months then bought my current vs ss for 6k
My first car was a VP Berlina, Sedan; that I brought of eBay for 3200 had it for about 3 years... I still to this day miss that car!
Second was a VX SS Commodore which I only had for a few weeks before destroying it :-(
Third is my VT SS...
I am shopping for number 4 at the moment, it's likely to be a newer Subaru, or Volkswagen (don't worry folks I am looking for a V8 or Super Six wagon for the girl.lol.).

god knows how many years ago back when i was in nz i got me licence one morning(never had to worry about the loser or poofter plates back then, lol). had never driven a manual before,an hour later i bought a mark 2 cortina-column change manual for $150. great car to drive, even with the rubberband suspension this thing went damn quick. it went even quicker when i ripped the motor out & put in a v6 capri engine, after awhile it went quicker again when i pulled the v6 out & jammed a 302 windsor in the thing. with a v8 in it,this thing had some real balls & scarey as all hell to drive sometimes. nothing like the good old days when you could buy what you want,do what you want without restrictions & hassles with engineer certs. then the list of cars since becomes a bit endless & would probably run out of space or bore people silly![]()
