So I got a Little bit of cash laying around I'm just got my green's and i keep seeing Skylines around
I want one as my 2ed car

Problem is the E R33 GTS-T are stock turbo

wondering how much would it be to get the turbo taken out (I could do that myself)
but the tuning the car or so forth how much do you guys rekion?

You could just get a set of NA extractors, plug the oil feed, and plumb the intake. Extractors are about $700 for an NA skyline from memory. I don't think you'd need to adjust the tune, the computer should adjust by itself.

or you could just buy a r33 gts which are non-turbo stock which would be a lot easier than stuffing around with taking the turbo off. the turbo motors would have lower compression so taking the turbo off would just make it run like a dog really.. seriously just buy a gts not a gtst

Sorry forgot to mention its a next door nabours i can have it for around 5 K he said so yea what about the compression

If the law is the same down there as up here, you would still not be allowed to drive it. As far as the RTA knows, it's a turbo. You will still be fined if you get caught for driving a GTS-T, even if you've made it N/A.

skylines australia is where you wanna be posting. But they will say the same thing jsut buy a gts. Ive heard stories of people taking the turbos out and you would get where you wanna go faster by walking.

You can't just "take the turbo off", it doesn't work like that. And typically you are looking at about $1000 for the cheapest import tune. Easier and cheaper to buy an N/A one. Plus from what I've read on a few import forums, taking the turbo out of a car that originally had a turbo is a "modification" in some places, and even though it is N/A, you will get done for a "modification". Along the same lines as what Stressball said.

If you go through the forum you will see we are not close minded here and will discuss other makes. We have members (and mods) here who don't own or drive Commodores but are still welcome members of this community.
