Notice on the weekend something a bit sly about an area that had Red Light/Speed Cams fitted. was driving home and noticed a sign 'safty cam's ahead' (or alike) i was like wtf? i know the other side of the highway has them, but they put them on this side of the road too? got to the intersection and nothing. and now ive been noticing it alot, they put the warning sign on the other side of the road. now im sittin there thinkin, who the fk is that helping?
is this like a lil loop hole? like 'a warning sign must be displayed within 20 meters of fitted cams' but not saying which side of the road? this isnt a 'dont speed and you wont need to worry' thread, so just GTFO if you are thinking that. im just sayin.. its bullshit.

Yeah they are all like that. And they often put signs up on the crossing road as well (north-south in your pic)
Its so you know to keep an eye out for the flash and have a laugh at whoever just got done

Ours are always on the correct side of the road, but they deliberately put them parallel with the road so you can't read it til you're next to it, and also they position is so you can't even see where the sign is until you're past the van.
If you're going to require them to put signs up, you should require them to put them somewhere they do their job. Either have them properly, or don't have them at all.
