Similar To Gumball Rallys?

Hey guys,

I'm a MASSIVE fan of Gumball 3000. For thous of you that don't know what it is, here is some info about it.

-The Gumball 3000 is an annual 3,000 mile international road rally which takes place on public roads, with a different 3,000 mile route around the world each year.

-The Rally is not a serious race in the traditional sense of Rally races

- there are no prizes for being fastest or official timekeeping of any sort. Organizers emphasize that it is a road trip adventure and not a race.

and so on...

My question is does anyone know of any events such as this that happen in Australia? or have you attended something like this before. If so i would like to hear the story.

There is a cannonball/gumball rally planned for 2011, leaving from the Gold Coast. Don't know much more than that.

i thought they banned the cannonball run in australlia after they had it in the early 90s an a ferrari crashed into 1 of the checkpoints an killed someone ??? but if you like the gumball stuff you would like the mischeief series of dvds they go to all the cannonball an gumball type events awesome stuff

definitely going to be checking out some of these cannonball events.
I hope they have one in 2011.

+1 for mischeif, but i reckon the high octane dvds are better
