Morning Guys,
The family and I are currently in the process of planning an overseas trip late Feb / early Mar 2011.
At this stage the first stop off will be Phuket for 5 nights or so and then a further 5 nights in Singapore on our way back, the number of days are yet to be decided.
Any suggestions on what to do / see, where to stay (this seems to be the hardest given we will have 5 adults, 1 child and 1 infant), how to get around etc?
At the moment it's a crap load of reading.
Short list of possible things to do in Phuket
- Aquarium
- Zoo (heard mixed feelings about this in regards to animal cruelty but the monkey, croc and elephant shows etc are worth it)
- Speed Boat tour out to Phi Phi Island
- Cashew Farm
- Shooting range
- Elephant trekking
- Fishing Charter
- Shopping for the females...
In terms of Singapore this was only decided recently and haven't had a great of a
- Singapore Zoo
- National Museum
- Changi Prison
Well I guess it's open from here, interested in hearing opinions.
Cheers
Darren
For Singapore, also go to the bird park and Sentosa Island, which is just off the coast by cable car.
Head down to the East Coast Park, where you can hire bikes and ride along the bikeways.
im going overseas in 3 weeks decided to go to Bangkok on the way back from Europe instead of singapore
one contributing factor to this was, my grandparents just got back from singapore, they stayed where we were gonna stay (a casino with a boat on the roof cant think of the name atm) but everything was way overpriced (we want cheap after holidaying in Europe lol) for example a beer was $15 AUD
my Grandfather went to the site of Changi Prison and its all been torn down, he said it was very disapointing
