So, as I was 'crate digging' today to add to my collection of Oz Hip Hop, I began to wonder who else I knew that collected things & what exactly it was you collected. I could only come up with one person, a buddy of mine who collects Sonic the Hedgehog memrobilla.
I figured maybe this would be a good outlet for people to share their collections & stories.
Here's mine;
I started collecting Oz Hip Hop in 2003 when I discovered Hilltop Hoods, I then did some research on them and realised there was a lot more to Oz Hip Hop then three dudes.
I began reading & downloading & buying like crazy.
So far in my collection I have obtained
866 MP3's and counting
Approx. 28 CD's & counting
(I will list all my CD's a little later)
2 Vinyl Records & counting
- Plutonic Lab - Collision of Days
- Downsyde - LesFortunate
2 Album Promotion Posters & counting
- Mphazes - Good Gracious
- Drapht - Brothers Grimm
3 DVD's & counting.
- Hilltop Hoods - The Calling Live
- Hilltop Hoods - The City of Light
- Skip Hop - The Documentry
Not only do I collect the stuff I always have my own review website were I review albums, gigs, DVD's etc.
I guesse you could say I have past the stage of "Collector" and become obsessed.
Please share your collections with us, so I don't seem like some crazy dude, rambaling on about nothing
I collect caps(as in the ones that go on ya head) Think the total must be up around the 500 mark.Just shifting house at the moment,so will post a pic once i get them up in my man shed.
Richo, I know its not the hip hop you listed, but what about 28 Days? Still technically hip hop.
defects.....Lol
I collect P!nk memorabillia. (I'm female)
I have all the CD's, DVD's & singles.
I have many signed photo's, a tour crew shirt from the backstage staff.
I have the sunvisor from my old car that was signed by Carey Hart (Pink's hubby), My old car was called PINKED and was painted pink inside and had a huge portrait of Pink on the bonnet. He saw the car on her last tour and signed it for me.
I have loads of tour books, mags, merchandise etc and at one stage I had a Qantas boarding pass (in her real name) from her previous tour.
I also have a couple of Pink related tattoos.
So now Ive outed what a freak I am![]()
^^^^ something doesn't sound rite calling her Alecia Moore Hey![]()
LOL no it doesn't.
When i was a kid used to collect everything star wars.....
Then collected PC games until steam and digital distribution killed it, had an awesome collection back in the days you paid $40 for the standard edition of a game, it came in a nice art box, every game came with a case, instruction manual and would usually have a bonus in there, I had tons of shit from this like comics, post cards, pins, hats etc. The old school strategy games knew how to treat a gamer, I still have my original C&C and C&C Red alert posters.
Also collected comics, most of them are star wars..... PRE CLONE WARS. I could tolerate 3 sub par movies.... but hell..... I grew up poor and learned how to wheel and deal and trade to get what I craved, the quality of star wars comics took a dive with the FIRST run of clone wars.... not before the CGI clone wars shit.
Also have a mint condition set of ONI comics from the only decent game Bungie have ever made.
Then you grow up, now I just collect one night stands
BTW super sweet drapht poster.
