He discharged two rounds, one bullet hitting the engine compartment and the other striking a tyre.
Sign him up, has better aim then the cops.

believe it when I see it of brisbane Posted at 2:35 PM Today
a convoy of car enthusiasts....rofl...meeting at 11.00pm rofl.....bl**dy hoons more like!! Sounds like someone is sick and tired of their antics and has taken the law into their own hands. Whilst I dont condone shooting I can understand their frustration. I am no expert...but I really doubt that hole was made by a .22!!
that guy is bang on the mark

and i doubt he was trying to hurt anybody because if he wanted to shoot them he could have easily.

Of all the places you can cruise to on the Sunshine Coast I have no idea why anyone would want to go to Caboolture

who the hell hides behind a tree with a gun waiting for "hoons" lol

and besides, the car was shot twice while on the move. pretty sure auto and semi-auto firearms are illegal australia wide unless you have a professional hunting licence or whatever. it was probably illegal or else they could have traced it to the area.

well, maybe the tyre was hit from the rear. doesnt exactly say lol

Err bolt actions can be fired pretty fast. Even single loading rounds I could hit you taking off in a car at least 5 times.

I will say this, late night meet, commodore driver, young male, p plates. Easy to come to the conclusion on why they were shot at.

Grennan, those comments are not hard to see why these laws have become the way they are. Almost every idiot i see of late is driving some piece of shit commodore with a set of P plates up. The ones without p plates seem like cashed up bogans in their hsv's. We witness it almost every night here, ########s in holdens drifting residential streets. It has got to the point now where I am reporting it to police.

People need to get a bloody brain. Residential streets are not the place to do that sort of shit.

Nope I wasn't there, just said how it is easy to come to the conclusion on why they were shot at. Just as you werent there so their actions on being innocent angels also cannot be a defence.

Whats the bet that all the people hating "motoring enthusiasts" in the comments, who support the shooter, also support the banning of legal gun ownership.

...and I see tons of twits in Skylines, Lancers, Subaru's and what not doing stupid shit around here with and without P Plates. Not everyone in a commodore is a hoon.

God help me the next time I am bored and go for a drive up Mt Dandenong at 10pm at night. I might be mistaken for one of those illusive hoon creatures and shot at.

Wow, I just read most of the comments on the story page, and Wow. People really need to wake up. How can about 90% of the comments justify that the shooter was right. There is a nutcase somewhere in the Caboolture region (Caboolture and nutcase in same sentence, go figure) who one, needs a reality check, and two, needs some prison time.

Put it this way, the road they were on is out bloody whoop whoop in the forestry. Why the hell would anyone be meeting each other for a cruise in the middle of no-where at 11pm at night? How are you even supposed to show your car off in an unlit area anyway? Plenty of other areas nearby that would've made heaps more sense to stop at. It's obvious this isn't the first time they had been there. Whoever the person was that shot at them isn't going to just randomly go out and shoot at cars just because they are outside his property unless they had been there several times before causing trouble. Dick heads probably meet out there on a regular basis most likely doing donuts among other things.

So, take the necessary steps to fix the problem. For example, if you insist on going there knowing that they do it frequently, take a video camera. Get timestamped/dated footage with number plats of illegal acitivity, and forward to police. Will do more to fix it than firing a lethal weapon at them.

Bahahaha we are talking about Caboolture. The bastard probably cant even afford a video camera. For all you know he could've called the cops several times but by the time they actually managed to get out there the dick heads would've been gone. While the person did do the wrong thing by shooting at them there is no way they'll will ever go back out there again to do what ever the hell they were doing out there in the first place. So in the shooter's eyes it's problem solved.

Phone camera? Video camera? Still camera? Notepad? Cops don't take long to arrive on the scene of a reported hooning

I'd like to see him get caught. His problem would probably be solved for the length of his visit to gaol. Although, I'm sure the penalty for doing burnouts would be larger than the penalty for shooting at somebody for something minor. Can't win everything.

Still camera??? and the bloody thing would have a flash so they would've seen him take it. If you're out in the middle of whoop whoop doing illegal shit and you see some dude taking pics what do you think they are gonna do. Most likely in the pitch black jack shit is gonna show up anyway. As for a phone camera you'd have to be next to the bastards to take it. Notepad?? Bahahaha and then it is one persons word against all of theirs.

We are talking about Caboolture cops. They take ages to get anywhere.
