    Default Bumblebee Camaro Crash

So while filming Transformers 3, a Washington DC cop responding to an actual emergency cuts through (closed roads) where they're filming and smashes into Bumblebee!

Apparently the smash is now going to be written into the movie.

The scene was for extra realism.

This will look very weird if they add it into the movie. Not enough car explodey.

the guy was apparently bomb squad responding to a call.
if my relo was killed in an explosion and i found out the bomb squad could have gotten there quicker, but they'd been stopped by a movie shoot i'd be fair cut.

Good point. How many times do they stop and start movies? Cant do that in real life. You can't just yell CUT and the bomb is gonna stop ticking and not go kaboom.

but now cause the cop went down the closed road, and probably was starring at the trucks as they drove past he had a accident...and never made it to the emergency... so how did that help anyone???

they closed the road for a reason..the cop should of been smart enough to figure it out

Bollocks. Police sirens getting closer, the director should have cut the scene before the cop went through. This is not the cop's fault, he was responding to an emergency, lights and sirens. Time is a factor, and ruining one take of a movie is a small price to pay.

So some crappy dumbarse movie got inconvenienced by a real life emergency, and suddenly the police are the enemy?

Wow, sad world we live in.

Fair enough if the roads were shut for a legit reason, flooding, damage etc, but for a movie? honestly. I'm sure the people on the set would realise the importance

lol @ all the people defending the cop and bagging the closed set, idiot went through barricades into a closed set that he would have known was there....

p.s. he wouldn't have been the only one responding to an emergency call either

Regardless of the situation he shouldlose his licence an his job as a minimum a closed road is closed for a reason. No only could he have killed somebody but he also ensured he wasnt gettin to the bomb threat as it is illegal to flee the scene of an accident. American tax dollars are gonna be payin for that car too cause theres no way the insurance company is gonna be payin up

I'm in the emergency services and if we were responding to your place, fire, being attacked, domestic accident would you accept we took longer because we came another way because of a film shoot.
BTW A film shoot that has millions of budget dollars as opposed to an emergency service probably struggling to make ends meet.
You people make me sick, you're more worried about a car than the real purpose for what the emergency guy is responding to.

not to mention this suburb was built like Bathurst and there would have been 5 ways to get there just as quick.
what if there was a guy on the roof of the car as it is an action movie ? if he got flown off and killed the main actor (dont know who he is) im sure the entire 'bomb threat' would be long forgotten.

so quit it with your if buts and maybes.. it DIDNT happen so y make it seem it did.

i work with emergency services too.. no one cares the bumblebee got smashed up(actually thought is was queit funny)..or they had to re-shoot the scene... a cop was careless by driving down a close road...what if that was a constrcution site ??with a big trench across the road?? or a crane lifting something acorss the road?? the road was closed for a reason, if it was going to save alot of time, the officer should of gone done it with caution..thats what they get trained to do.. drive fast but with caution... once he saw optimus prime drive past he should of realised something was happening, and slowed the f**k down. the director probably could not of called cut on such short notcie to 3-4 trucks/pick ups and what looks to be a speeding camaro
not only did he not make it to the emergency, he cost the tax payer more money for a police car and a camaro and who knows what sort of equipment and injuries

you make me sick with your closed minded views.

I'm not being closed minded, if you read all the comments from some of these posters then maybe you under stand where i'm coming from.
As I said before, most here were only concerned with what happened to poor Bumblebee, its just a car.
I've dealt with so called closed movie sets, hell we drove through the middle of the Matrix set with helicopters all around because they didn't block the streets properly and nobody tried to stop us.
Ended up with 2 trucks from 2 different stations arriving at the building they were shooting around.
Do you or anybody know what the real emergency was and what sort of barricading was in place that allowed this guy to just drive straight on to a "closed set" .
