LMAO, who would have thought a Toyota Cressida and a Nissan Pintara.

lol...
Wonder what the actuall offence was.
Hahaha yer I cant stand Cressidas so suck S**T!
so where do i buy tickets to see this?
scary thing is, reading comments from most of the sheeple there it seems they're all for it. only a few said words to the effect of "crush hoons cars today, whats to say they dont crush ours for going 5k over the limit tommorrow" and "if they had somewhere to hoon legally maybe they wouldn't do it on the road"
goes to show what we've known all along, politicians crapping on about 'getting tough on hoons' is a sure vote-getter
meh, if ur stupid enough to get busted more then 3 times by the cops for being an idiot on the road, ur own fault, so dont get caught out there![]()
Unions: the people who brought you weekends
They just need to put a shit load of skid pads all over aus that dont require a 10hr drive to them. Next thing you know everything will be fitted with speed limiters, forced traction control, and auto self fines that fine you for any offence
lmao roads are a slightly safer place without those crappy cars and their crappier drivers on them.
the bottom one looks like an r31 skyline?

What a waste of time. All it's going to do is incite hate. Young people are going to naturally blame the police for impounding or crushing their car and resist arrest next time or worse try to get away.

another idea.. how many reigonal towns in the country have a tarmac runway nearby that is used for bugger-all most of the year? where i spent a few years in the new england nsw area there is a massive runway just out of town that u could go mental on and not hit anything if u tried. its only used for 1/8 mile drags twice a year! so guess where the local kids have their fun for the rest of the year
I think the government thinking is if they do put skid pads etc it's just going to incite people to do more illegal stuff on the street as well.

And thats probably how 90% of the close minded 'sheeple' see it too...

vvv Not directed at you wraith, just a rant
Although, I can positively say that if they were such a venue locally, it would definately get me to go there - not that I do anything 'hoon' driving anymore.
But the thought of being able to go somewhere, where you can do what ever you want whenever you want with out the fear of any repercussions or being 'caught in the act' and losing your licence or worse, getting my car impounded; Is an awesome idea.
How hard would it be to lay down a concrete slab, (or tarmac) they do it for skateboarders. Leave it unattended. Free to use. With simple rules, first on, one at a time, with a line up for whos next, if you crash/damage your car - stiff shit... etc (like skate parks)
In my mind, that wouldn't incite or encourage illegal behaviour. It would give the like minded people an outlet; That is not out of reach for the local hoon, who wants to waste some tyres. Thats gotta be a good thing?!! lol
What do you guy's rekon?! lol Petition time :/
All this is going to do is cause more dangerous situations where idiots run from police because they don't want to lose their cars.
Stupid bloody pollies once again showing their disconnection from the real world.
If they want to address the "hooning" why don't they look to making it tougher to get a licence? At the moment any idiot can get a licence and then pollies act suprised when stupid people do stupid things, what a joke!
Keep the idiots from getting their licence in the first place rather than this sort of political, media attention grabbing crap.
But that won't happen, pollies will never address the root of the problem because if they remove the idiots from the roads, there's a major source of revenue gone. No idiots on the roads, revenue from fines will fall and pollies will not allow that.
So instead, they do this sort of crap, put the rest of us in more danger from idiots running from police and pretend is some sort of solution.
Making is harder to get a licence, better driver education and making it easier to lose your licence are the solution here, not this sort of bullshit.
Unfortunately I think you will find a petition won't do much as there is probably double if not more people that will oppose it. As for the whole build a concrete pad and let people go nuts. I don't think it will work. You will have people refusing to use it fairly. Some groups will unofficially claim it's theirs etc and it will all just get to hard.. Just a sad fact of life unfortunately. I really wouldn't mind seeing some statistics regarding accidents concerning P platers. Surely the number hasn't risen that dramatically in a matter of years. I think it's the fact it's the cool thing to report now which is artificially inflating perceived figures.

I think he meant the pathetic little boy gangs that like to claim things as "their turf"
That's exactly what I meant JMP. We had a similar situation here. The "new crew" wanted to claim a weekly servo we meet at as theirs. Challenged the "old crew" for a fight to claim it etc.
