Does anybody have any tips for karrying a 5m racing kayak on the roof of my VY sedan? Im about to buy some of those mounting cradles for my existing roof racks however ive never cariied anything like this before and would like to do this right to avoid me hitting the accelerator and then seeing the remains of my beloved craft sprawled over the road behind me. Im fairly sure i need to tether it at the front and towbar of the car for insurance, but have no idea where to tie it at the front (would prefer my SS front bar to stay intact if possyble)
PS: this is my craft Spirit Paddle - International Distributor of Quality Kayaks and Paddle Products
Bump, anyone can offer any of advice?
Hey Mate.
I Would just make sure its on the roof racks tight, i would not tether it at the ends as you may end up snapping it in half : / Since they are very Long.
Be Sure its not over hanging the length of the bonnet, and be sure to put a red flag on the back of it as its a hazard and also law.
Bout all the advice i have. never had to carry one around.
