Default tips for fighting the CBF's?

got a serious case of them ATM. normally i bribe myself with beer, but today it isnt working. ventured outside to see if i should start anything, then walked straight back in.

    so my question is:

can someone give me a tip for fighting the initial CBFitis? maybe there is some meditation Blah i can do, or something i dunno.. anything. lol.

    help me.

If I CBF doing anything I go into the shed, turn on the TV, grab a beer... and clean..... and generally that leads to something

Maybe put some music on? I cant clean/work on my car without it in the back round.

Just envision how good it will look when its finished, that would motivate me!

Hit yourself over the head with a golf club... And don't stop until you're out of the house and in the shed.

well i tried the cleaning thing, which helped get the garage clean but didnt help the CBF's. i have now made a 'to-do' list. i am hoping that will help. failing all that will try the golf club method next.

Best way to deal with the CFBs is leave it till the last minute. Nothing like the last minute to motivate you.

LOL, cones are the biggest DE-motivator out there

What seems to work on me, (occaisonally) being shamed into it by fellow J/C'ians and my girlfriend, all harrassing me!

Really though, I have nfi. Some days its hard to get started, others I can't wait! Usually once some good progress is made it keeps spirits up for a bit.

And definately DON'T leave all the shit jobs til the end, other wise you'll do all the fun/good stuff, and be left with a weeks/months worth of shit jobs... :/

When I get the CBFs I will just sit on my computer until CBF CBF kicks in and I usually start doing some cleaning or something.

start paying someone to do the work for you, youll then realise how epensive it is and be motivated to do it yourself

This might seem like the sort of advice you don't want, but take a break from working on the car. LIke many others, I've followed this thread from the beginning and you've been at it flat out for months. Most of us are amazed at the amount of work you have completed in a comparitively short time. I doubt that I would have bothered taking on such a rustbucket in the first place but you did and the CBF's are quite understandable.

I took over four years to restore my HT GTS350 back in the late 80's. Sometimes, it sat for months with almost nothing done to it, but I always came back and eventually finished it off. I think that the final job was probably better as a result, because I gave myself time to do other things and avoid the CBF's.

Take a break, smell the flowers.....(or something like that). It will still be there waiting for you when you return to it.
