    Default Complex Meccano sets

    Hi Guys.

I am looking to start building Meccano kits again.
Since i have a mechanical mind and can do anything with my hands ( Come to paper work forget it lol )
im after kits that take hours and hours to put together, Like those massive ferris wheels you see.
Been looking on line and all i can find is crap i could do in 10 mins.
Also interested in trains, Lego. Anyone that knows some good complex kits and where to get them would be awesome :-)

    Cheers,

Yes still love Toys lol But who doesn't ? lol

working with your hands is definately good fun.
have you looked at some of the monster lego sets you can get? i was having a look a few months back and there are some sets that have like 5000+ pieces, some are like of the taj mahal (spelling?) and the eiffel tower. those would definately take a fair bit of time.
also Technic sets (also made by lego) are very good to make sets of. normally those have instructions for a few different models you could make.

take a look at this website, its got some great sets. however some can get pricey.
JustBricks AUSTRALIA - Online LEGO Toys Specialist Store - City Technic Star Wars Castle Spongebob Belville Creator Space Police Agents Power Functions Sets NSW justbricks by patty

mix that with the train sets and you could have some great fun, and mix your likeness of trains with lego.
or some of the remote controlled sets could also be fun (just looked there is a technic excavator)

onto the meccano, look for a hobby shop around where you live or so on. they should normally have them.

and when you mean the ferris wheels etc could you have also ment the "knex" toys?

I bought a Lego pirare ship to fulfill a life long dream of wanting one. Here is a pic (not of MY ship, but it's identical).

Hah. I remember as a kid longing for the lego pirate ship. I had a couple of the (much) smaller lego pirate sets and everytime mum took me shopping id gaze upon the wonder that is this ship. Never got one. Same goes for the space sets. I salavaged a few kits together and made what i imagined was an awesome hover bike. Needless to say. Its been a long long time since the lego has come out. Still got it packed away for when I have a my own child to build stuff with. Had a meccano set as well. I think it was the general starter pack kinda one. Managed to build most of the cooler models (cars, trucks) etc. before i got bored with it.

yeah i have that. but dont mistakenly think it will take ages to build. my missus built it in around 2 hours. she had the timing wrong for the lights in it, which took her about another half an hour to get right.
i must say it was quite fun to watch, every time i went to fit something she would slap my hand and yell "IM DOING IT!!!"

lol. but yeah, doesnt take long at all

Why don't you look At buying one of them kit cars? The come in a billion pieces and wen it's put together you get a mr2 style of crapy little fag car that you could just sell to someone? (I don't like little sports cars) but to build one would still be cool.
