need advice....

its 2 do with my car, i havent had it 4 the last 4 months coz its been in the shop getting fixed n few things done to it.

so first of all the car had few electrical problem with the ignition module, coils and dizzy. coz got that fixed.
but this is where the story gets weird. it had a few other problems so took it back to get it all fixed. after about a month or so tryin to figure out what was wrong with it. ended up being something wrong with the lifters. so he placed most of the top end. and did a bit of work on the heads. i dont no what else has been done coz havent got the car bak yet.

so the last 3 or so weeks ive been ringing this bloke up who had been fixing my car. and he keeps saying yer in a couple of days it will be fixed. in the end i jus gave up n left it 4 a week. then i ring up mid week and phone turned off. so yesterday i go out 2 where he works. n he left there.......with my car. n not even his old boss knows where he is. or my mate who got me on to him in the first place knows where he is....

so thats my drama...........few people just said to go 2 the cops n report it stolen.
what do you guys reckon i should do......should i even pay him 4 what he has done???
ive paid him bout 1700 so far

found out where the car is this morning
its @ another shop where the bloke got a job. im guna go have a look @ it n see how many kms r on it.
the funny thing is it must be going if he can take it to another shop.
coz i no excally how many km was on it when i gave it 2 him.
apparently his uncle is in hospital n all the other bullsh*t
so ill find out more later

FFS!!! Call the police and get them to escort you to take back your property and have the carnt arrested for theft... don't go by yourself... At least take some mates with baseball bats.

Not much use telling a forum go a have a good chat to the police and explain everything to them and prove the car is yours, ask them to escort you to the place to pick up your car even if you have to get it towed back to your place and ask the police to follow you home so the bloke doesn't follow you etc. Good luck Let us know how you go.

just thought id give another update on my f**ked up situation.
i got my car back a month ago. still wasnt fixed. so i took it out 2 holden in shepp. found out 2day that they dont no whats wrong with it.
they have checked everything there is 2 check. so i dont no where im at with the car. dont no what to do with it.

pretty much the car while driving or trying to do a stand still it revs funny. it will rev up to 3500-4000 then just drop down to <2000 for no reason
anyone got any ideas what it is or what i should do.

If everything electrical has been checked then check for blocked cat converters or a collapsed baffle in a muffler. Also check fuel pressure because it could be a blocked fuel filter or faulty fuel pump.

um check if its been stolen and flogged the arse out of it recently or sand in the gas tank!~ ffs did the cops get him
he had no right to take the car somewhere else without permission you could take him for the price of the car and cost of getting taxis ffs!~
