    Default 3D tv help

    Ello ello,
I'm thinking of buying a 3D tv and was wondering if anyone has one of these and if so what are they like?
At the moment i can get a 50" plasma 3D with 4 sets of glasses for around the $2k mark. They also have a 46" led one for $2450. Both are samsung which is ok by me. Any feedback appreciated.

Mate go the 46" LED 3D TV, THe plasma, they are noisy as in they buzz, and a plasma that size uses about 400Watts of power at least. were a LED TV they use under 100 WATTS, so will be much cheaper to run in the long run, they are thinner and much lighter also and as its LED, the colour and brightness is much more even then the plasmas. Samsung make nice screens. But go to the Shop, View all the LED 3Ds they have in stock and see what you like :-)

Yeah that's what i'm thinking. I was looking at the plasma because it was a pretty good deal but the led looked fantastic. I'll go back out tomorrow for a better look.

def go with the LED not the plasma.

Don't forget that with 3d tv's you need the right HDMI cable. When are you getting the tv? I can get you a good price on a belkin HDMI cable that is suited to 3d tv from work (harvey norman) soonest i can get it is the 11th though.

yeah mate i think it is, ill have to double check for you though.

The belkin ones that suit 3D are the 2000 and 4000 range. I wont be in the store till the 11th. If you know which one you want you can let me know.

I havnt had a lot of experience with watching 3D tv for long periods. But i agree the glasses are annoying...

Thanks for all the opinions. I ended up buying another 50" plasma, just preferred it over anything else there, including the led. Also the added bonus of a 22" led thrown in with the deal plus another 4 sets of glasses was pretty good for the $2k price tag. Now all i have to do is decide whether or not i want to hold onto the 46" i have or to flick it.
