Qantas: No Crash / Explosion | Plane Lands In Singapore | QF 32
Second Qantas emergency landing in Singapore | Boeing 747A Qantas A380 has been forced to return to Singapore's Changi Airport after pilots were forced to shut down one of its four engines.
Two in two days, I can almost bet these will be related incidents, same workshop or something...Passengers on board a Qantas Boeing 747-400 jumbo that made an emergency landing in Singapore overnight reported hearing an explosion and seeing flames on the one of the engines minutes after takeoff.

Could have had something go through them.
How many planes do qantas have in the air? Two engines letting go doesn't seem too drastic.
What about these 2
Qantas flight QF74 engine explosion | Holes torn in plane
Qantas plane door pops open on flight from London to Melbourne | The Daily Telegraph
But still all 4 of these have still landed with no one killed (YET)
Only been happening since they took all servicing over seas.
Im never setting foot in a quantas plane lol
they took servicing over seas??? what why i thought Qantas was Aorstraalian
don't think it will be too long before a crash.
service takes time the only way it can be done quicker and cheaper is to cut corners .
Its been proven that overseas maintenance shops are just signing things off and not doing them.
What was the case of the engines incorrectly mounted to the wings recently the plane had been inspected in Hong Kong.
but qantas share holders must be happy there making money they don't care about Australian workers just money.
lucky for me I don't do much flying, Still sad for all the qantas workers.
It's QANTAS ffs, its an acronym not a word. And they're still the only airline in the world to have 0% casualties.
Am I wrong here or not.... but did Qantas take all and/or some of the maintenace out of the country to Singapore/Hong Kong/Asia/Europe in 2008/2009?![]()
Only a matter of time before something went wrong... I truly hope it never happens.
I am a little surprised about the A380, it's serviced in Germany from what I just www.googled.com.au'ed.
Exactly my point.
Just doesn't get the same air time as QANTAS.
Qantas has taken all most all of the maintenace out of the country to Singapore, Hong Kong& Asia in 2008 and payed there ''new skilled'' workers half the amount of money.SO Qantas thats what you get when you pay third word stuff all to do a maintenace on the cheap so you can line your own pockets!
What a load of shit. The job is no different to here it is just over seas labor isn't overcharged thanks to half arsed lazy prick union workforces.
Pilots have done their training well and all failsafes covered. I think the issue is a storm in a tea cup.
Singapore is 3rd world? There is some hialrious comments here.
I'd take business overseas to when labour in Australia is so overpriced. Nothing like pricing yourself out of a job eh?

Ahh I dunno about the labour being fair. You wouldn't survive in Australia on the average wage from china. But that's not really the point. The issue is manufactured by the media.
Your right you wouldnt, but thanks to unions over inflating wages by striking and demanding more upon more upon more, it has driven business away from Australia. Your kidding yourself if you actually think someone sweeping floors is entitled to 70k a year like so many unions would tell you they are.
People think we can keep taking on payrises without cost of living rising. It is no wonder this country is quickly becoming the unlucky country![]()

He wouldn't get in.
My uncle worked for qantas. Like many found himself out of a job. And at his age it left him vulnerable, as it was the only job he has worked.
