I couldn't care less about "Best Brakethrough" or "Biggest Anus Licker" awards.

I think aussie hip hop is much better than any american music being put out at the moment. Its genuine australian music and often has underying messages throughout it.

The only band that I can think of that will get a mention in mainstream Australian music these days would be The Living End.

there's no musicians anymore either, just about every backing track is some sort of annoying computer loop that sounds like some kid banging on a rubbish tin lid with a stick
Australians just copy everything the UK or US does, so it's no just Australian music that sucks, it's top 40 music in general.

can't even go and watch these so called artists 'live' because there is nothing live about their music. There isn't any backing band & everything is postproduction studio effects.
Hence the reason why so many of the 70's & 80's artists/bands are coming back touring live and selling out concerts within minutes of going on sale.

There is a few good bands getting around, just nothing you'll see on TV. The living end is good. Tool is a great live show, if you can survive the nutters, as is Slipknot if you're into that kind of stuff. I love the music but hate the idiots that flock to it.
