How long since the latest post in a thread before its old and posting on its a thread dig?
Ive just seen that phrase Thread dig in heaps of threads...
Federation
Against
Rotary
Tossers
Why did you post two topics? You can just get a moderator to fix the title.
I would say it could be anywhere from 2 week to 1 year, depends what the topic is on, like if it's "what car do you have" i would say over a year or so would be about it.
But a "how do i fix this" thread which hasn't been posted in 2 weeks would be a stupid bump.
WTF? Drinking the bong water is bad.......
*vomits.....
what's the problem with bringing up old topics?
it's what is going to happen when someone asks a question only to be told "FFS use the search function"
so they go searching and find and post in a topic only to be abused for thread digging
I vote we research the matter. Lets leave this thread alone for 3 years and than post up the results.
-Democracy must be something more than two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner.
James Bovard, Civil Libertarian (1994)
-Giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys.
P.J. O'Rourke, Civil Libertarian
-Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short Phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
Ronald Reagan (1986)
I can see this thread being dug up in 5 years and bumped by some smart ass.
Welcome to the internet where people have opinions that you might not like
if someone chucks an additional question off an old thread, then its not really a dig, but when someone posts an answer to a question that was raised 6 months or more ago, then they get something like this:
![]()
