well doesnt look like i need to fix the fuel pressure regulator after all...... just got a call from the repo guy i missed 3 payments (i pay monthly) and they are looking for me to repo the car only missed the payments because i lost my job and had to spend $2,500 putting a new engine in and then whatever else it cost in the last month to put in a new radiator, fuel, pump, battery, water pump the car was only $10,000 when i bought it i have payed $23,000 and have $2500 left owing. But i have 2 days to come up with $1600 or the car goes, if i hide it the car will be reported as stolen to the police........so glad i made a $400 payment yesterday

All I can think of is take the motor our and put it up on bricks, if they come to get it then they are probably going to leave it there seeing it like that. Bit of a hassle though.
Or like you said just hide it in someone's garage or in there back yard, if they come for the car just say "my friend just borrowed it to go to the shop, he will be back in 10 mins if you want to wait outside" then close the door and let them wait. If they ask for names or phone numbers ect tell them you don't want them harassing your friend.
Do that every time till you catch up on payments.

BIG problem here, is if you default on any payments, you could be listed as a bad payer, and you will have nill credit rating which will stick to you like shit to a blanket for ever and a day.

yep they seem pretty good about it if they dont have the car in a week they will call the police and report it stolen, the police will turn up if the car is not here i could be charged with theft, if i hide the car and get pulled over i will be charged with possesion of a stolen vechicle............so they tell me
no offence , but if you knew the rules and having spent money on the car to fix it instead of keeping up to date or at least a little less than that far behind . its pretty much your own fault. losing a job is not really a good excuse considering if you were that desperate there is bulk load of jobs no one wants to do to keep your head above water

everyones doing extra work for christmas so its not as easy to get a job as it would be mid year
sold the VS aboutn 10 or 12 months ago to move back down here when the old man had a kidney transplant, wish i still had it i'd let them take the VT right now no worries

I just got a second job for the next few months to pay a few bills off, went on the net, applied, got an interview, got the job.... All that in the space of 4 days.... I dont wanna pack shelvs & i dont wanna work 10hrs as a mechanic, go home n have a shower, spend an hour or 2 with my family, then work another 3hrs packin shelvs but i gotta do what i gotta do u know

What you have practically said is the following 3 months since you had lost your job, going off the missed monthly payments. You have spent 2500 grand during that time putting a new motor in. After a missed payment you would have at least gotten a letter to say your behind, followed by another after your missed the second payment. You have continued to ignore the notices to spend even more money on the car after 2 missed payments, radiator water pump etc etc in the last month. You live in a small town of 9000 odd people which wouldnt mean you wouldnt actually need a car in that time as you could get most places by walking, riding and catching the odd bus.
Yet your saying its not your fault that you couldnt find any job in 3 months no matter how crap it is and you want sympathy?

anyway another way is to possibly transfering it into another persons name , get a quick loan from another institution pay it out and move some money around. or worst case senario is to flog the car off that way your not losing bulk money
