Default 240SX Crushed As Memorial To Owner's Death

first-generation Nissan 240SX remain a prize for many enthusiasts who want rear-driving, small-car fun. But after one Florida owner died, his friends disposed of his 240SX in the fashion they say he would have wanted: through a crushing. UPDATED

According to the man who posted the video:

Our friend who owned the car passed away.. and No one wanted a punk ass 16yr old to be driving the car around that he finished the way he wanted it before he died.. so instead of it getting picked apart in a junk yard.. crush it...

He was the type of guy who actually threw his last car in a dumpster cause it rattled.. so this fit him perfectly...

The poster later added that the engine from the crushee was given to the family, but otherwise the car went with its rims on to the great Nismo track in the sky.

UPDATE:After we ran our story, we heard from the friends of the owner, whom we know only as Tim:

Tim was a good friend to many, and an asshole to the rest. He didn't tolerate morons, ricers, idiots. He was a mechanic by trade, loved cats, fishing, and liked driving his car. He was young when he died, and sudden also. And yes it is true, he mentioned many times that he never wanted anyone else to drive his car. So for those of you who don't get it, respect a dead man's wish. Money from friends and car shows were donated to the SPCA in his honor.

this got me thinking. if you died, what would you want your mates/ family to do with your car? or if your best mate died and his parents gave you the car what would you do? do a special dedication and build a cover car worthy machine? or just leave it in the shed and take it out on a special weekend?
all those get judged by me, the king of kings..

Depends on the mate and their attachment to the vehicle.
If for example it was my old man and he left me his jag, I'd keep it and it'd be something I'd keep for years to come garaged and looked after. Only to come out on weekend drives here and there.

Use my car for my funeral. Put me in the drivers seat, point it at the highest sea-side cliff possible, and lay a brick on the accelerator. I haven't finished fixing everything yet but I'll conquer the damn thing on the other side.

I'm happy knowing I won't have to worry about anything when I'm dead, let alone my car.

If my car was worth any decent amount, i'd put in the will to sell it to cover the funeral costs etc., otherwise just do whatever with it- sell it, give it away, wreck it

Whatever i own will go to family and friends. Even though i love my bikes and cars i can never take them with me, i might as well leave them for someone else so their just that bit better off.

When i was a kid i used to say "i'd love to be chucked into shark invested waters when i die", I think i'll still go with that lol.

if i died tomorrow, i would expect all my friends and family to come around and actually finish the big POS.

then i would jump out of the bushes like: "SURPRISE, i wasnt dead!!!, thanks for finally helping me you arseholes "

HAHA that reminds me of a user on here a few years back. He posted saying that one of his mates recently died (quite possibly in a car crash) and asked that if everyone could do a little burn out to remember him by cos it's what he would have wanted. The dude was totally shot to pieces! I really can't remember who, when and exactly what was posted otherwise I would bring it up.

I'd want my little bro to keep my wagz. He's helped me so much throughout the build that I consider it just as much his as it is mine. I want it to be my hurst, I want Brad (me little bro) to drive it, and I want him to smoke top gear going up a road on the way to the cemetery for as long as he can hold it b4 the tyres go (on the 20's, not stockies).....he just better get it right coz I don't wanna be goin to the cemetery on popped tyres, and he better not ####in prang it. Sumfin like that anyways.

And if he goes b4 me, then it will be the other way around, licence or not.

I would want them to either keep it in memorial or sell it.
But I certainly would not want my mates to crush it ....

i'd love it if my mates finished building my VP into the coolest rat wagon in Aus, but basically whatever who cares, I'd be dead right!
haven't been working for over 10 months and I HATE IT. If you know of any positions, let me know please, I'm willing to travel/move if necessary. I just want to be working again!!!

I've told most of my family and friends that if I die I want one of my crazy holden friends to have it - he's the only one that would drive it properly.

I only have an Astra - but even so, I would be rolling in my grave if it were crushed. I'd want it to either be sold, or given to one of my mates. Or perhaps be built into a show car in my memorial, but hey, a man can dream
