Piecing a new full system together, but I morally object to RRP in all its forms. (by definition I am a massive Jew)
few parts yet to be decided but along the lines of
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB $99
Western Digital Green Power 2TB $115
Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition $155
ASUS Crosshair IV Formula Motherboard $309
Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler $108
G.Skill Ripjaws 4GB (2x2GB) PC3-10666 $79
Corsair TX-750 Power Supply $147
and a GTX460 of some variety.. ~$200-260 depending on flavour
Anyone able to do cheaper than this it would be a massive help!
Cheers
Sam

operating firmware? windows 7
Umm.. Irrelevant much? He's talking about hardware. BIOS is firmware, win7 is software. Very soft, but that's another story.
@savage1987
Have a look at gamedude.com.au Dunno if the savings will be worth it if your stuff is local and you have to pay shipping for gamedude. There is another cheaper one in Brissy but they are hard to deal with remotely.
Edit: The cheaper one that I find hard to deal with has been named by Grennan below, MSY. Cheap but basically unless you are in store, f off.

PC Case gear are practically the same price as places as like MSY etc which are probably the cheapest you will get them new.
Also, with that cooler, I would check dimensions and space.
Just to give you an idea of the size:
If you have ram that sticks out - like the Ripjaws do with the heatspreaders on, you may have a hard time fitting it. Also fans on the case door etc.
Im picking up one of these: CoolerMaster V6GT CPU Cooler [RR-V6GT-22PK-R1] - $69.00 : PC Case Gear for my new PC next month, they have very comparable results to the Noctua.
Check out post 185 here Post your setup!
Similar setup to what you want to use, good cooler and MB and Ram, will be a bit cheaper and plenty fast enough.
Go for the HX series modular power suppply, less wires and neater.
i thought msy sold for like ~$5 above cost, interested to hear if there is anywhere cheaper, occasionally CPL beat them by like $2 on an item, but if i'm getting a stack of gear i usually prefer to do it in the one place.
Sam, have you jumped on whirlpool? I recall they have a section dedicated to pricing of system parts. Other than that as already mentioned MSY are good if you know what you want and don't need to ask questions. I did find a place here in Adelaide a while back that sold quality components cheaper than MSY, even his system builds were better and cheaper, however given you are not in SA, that's little help. LOL.
On a side note, you back home for a bit on a break?
Thanks for the suggestions guys
I was more looking for someone who can do an independent deal for this stuff, like my AMCAP man who gets me all my parts for staff price (<1/2 of RRP from Holden)
Anyway I'm realising that probably isn't going to happen for whatever reason, guessing more competitive market in the computer parts industry driven people to sell for minimal profit anyway? I duno.
Sashyre, yeah I got a month of leave that doesn't come off my books.win! And they paid me to come home.
