Its funny cause when i bought my last camera it got held up at customs, they wanted documentation from E-bay stating the price and what was included. All over a $300 camera, was only even $550 in Aus stores.

I purchased $1100 worth of pioneer audio gear the other week. All through online retailers. And about $700 in the states. It was rediculous how much JB Hifi and Autobarn wanted for the same kit. If i bought it in store, I would of had to fork out over 2 grand.

With the aussie dollar being so strong atm, prices should be reaching a parity with the USA on a number of goods. We dont have the same buying power the states do. So a couple of bucks here and there.. But the prices now are nearly double the american equivelant.. Not on...

And no doubt they use the same tactic the fuel companies use. When the price of the barrel drops. they keep the fuel price high, cause they "need to use up reserves bought at the old price". But the moment the price of the barrel goes up.. so do the fuel prices...

Mr Harvey said the company was considering offering the direct importation of other goods in future and "we'll let you know soon".
this will also happen sooner rather than later i think

if i were one of his franchisees i'd be pretty pissed off about this

Good on him should be more of it, 60 odd dollars is better than 80 odd LOL, they were already the cheapest for new games compared to game, eb and jb.
