Well i was just at an intersection and i noticed a VU executive across the road with a modified front grill, as i was just checking it out, i glanced at the driver to see him giving me a WTF look and then a bit of attitude...
Seriously... what's the point of modifying your car if you don't want people looking at it???
My missus commented that other commodore drivers were giving her a wave as she trundled through Gawler, maybe we need to start a 'thumb up and a smile' (pretty lame but eh..) campaign to recognise each other and not the pointless aggro..! Try and create a friendly culture amongst ourselves

So he can start fights?
he drives a commodore he probably thinks your eyeing it off because you want to knock it off, i know im a bit suss/paranoid when people have a good hard look at my car.
He might have just dropped his guts and really wished he wasn't in his car right at that moment.....
^^^^
Hahahaha.
Nah I know the type the OP is talking about.
They're the kind that think that the everyone should walk around them looking at the ground.
Kinda like a big dog.
But less brains.
nobody looks at my modified ride
and if they did i would prolly wonder "wtf is that guy staring at?"

None of us are as cruel as All of us. - Anonymous
i remember years ago sitting on break at the shops and a vk went through with a custom grill with lights in it, i was checking it out, and my mate was checking it out because he saw the guy in it smacked the chick in shotgun.
next thing i know the nutsack in it stormed up on us with a clublock. there are some dicks out there, a bit like the chicks that dress like streetwalkers but get narky if you look.
"look at me but don't look at me"
If it's across an intersection, from that far it'd look like you were staring at him not his car.
yeah I notice the same thing, people give you the look like you are lining them up for street drag or something, when all you are doing is admiring their ride.
Strange aye... I ride a motorbike as well, and I find most bikers will give each other a nod or wave of recognition as we pass each other. Can't see why there isn't the same sort of comradeship between car enthusiasts.
Yeah I've noticed that, I've only been riding for a year and the first time i was like "oh he seems to polite bloke". After seeing it all the time i realize now it's just a biker thing. The only ones that don't do it are harley owners I've found. You should of seen it when i pulled up down at the pub and parked my bike next to theirs, all these rough looking bikers stopped what they were doing and just stared at me lol, they hate Japanese bikes.
This all tells me we are turning into A-holes. cant even have a look at somethin without someone tryin to kill ya. this is not Australia.
Yeah I have had the same experience. I would be checking out a car that stands out (in a good way) and sometimes the driver will look at me as if what the hell am I looking at. I think they are unsure why you would be looking at them attitiude. They probably drive off and then realise oh that bloke was admiring my car.
Yours Kindly,
Jim
I had a bloke pull up next to me at the lights, ask me to put my window down and then said 'maaan.... those wheels are siiiick! I love the dish on the back, looks maaad' I lol'ed
Cant imagine why anyone would be pissed off.....ive had quite a few checking out mine
(1 even taking pics)
Personally i love the attention. !!
THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR RAW HORSEPOWER !!
hope you peeled off a eleven and flipped him the bird as you went past. cranky mofo, don't modify it if you dont want people to look.
me too, I think we all like the attention whether we care to admit or not.
When you put heaps of work into your car, it gives you a sense of pride when someone compliments it.
But I've had more compliments from people at servos and carwashes etc than people on the road.
In fact the only compliment I've had on the road (apart from yobbos yelling out windows to do a burnout) was from a guy driving what appeared to be a XY GT (might have been a replica). He pulled up next to me at the lights in a hurry, I thought it was going to be on, but then he yelled out across from the open window asking if it was a genuine SS, and then said it sounds good, tough car! I returned the compliment.
some people are just clowns lol
Happened to me the other day. Just got in my car with my mate about to leave his house and this guy is driving on the opposite side of the road about to pass us. He was driving a VZ SS and me and my mate are just having a quick look at the car, looked pretty clean etc etc.
Slowly scanning the car we eventually saw the driver and it looked like he had been repeatedly smacked in the head with a shovel with the face he was pulling. Looked like he wanted to murder us and all we were doing was checking out the car. Me and my mate couldn't help but laugh and i think he noticed as well as he roared passed us.
