Boiling water = effective immediately + environmentally friendly
    Salt = effective 24 hours
Gas blow torch = effective immediately
Glypho spray = effective 14 days
    Manual weeding = ongoing!

Anything with Glyphosate as active constituent.
Bunnings has one called "Glyphosate 360" (360g/l).

When mixed and applied correctly it's like Plant Genocide in a bottle...

    Petrol.

There is a reason the old school wogs used to use this to do their edges on the lawn.

    Never grows back.

Roundup. Just mix it twice as strong as the bottle says and I can guarantee it will kill nearly anything within 2 days.

I think most environmentally unfriendly weed killers have glyphosate as their active ingredient with the "better" ones having glyphosate 360.

+1 for roundup. on soft weeds
Garlon 600 for most others that roundup doesn't kill

spray weed's when their flowering kill's them more effectively

a double dosage won't have much affect

    Just an old tip.
Add a small amount of dishwashing liquid to your spray bottle mix well.
Helps roundup stick to the weeds instead of running off.

There are some interesting video's on youtube regarding the makers of weed killers. You might want to check them out if you have an interest in the environment. If you have no interest in the environment then definately use commercial weed killer.

Before you go spraying YOUR property with PCB based weedkiller you may want to read about its effects on cell division in humans. Yes I am a "Bloody Greens" it may not hurt you to do some research first before abusing people.

Tip: put the detergent in after you add the water & roundup.!

    5litre jug of roundup @ $50, beats the 500ml @ $25.

Give them a man-sized dose of Roundup. Excellent stuff + cheaper than zero for what is essentially the same.
