You never know who's looking at you these days.
Last week, I was alerted to the website Photomaps by NearMap, in preference to Google Earth. So, after finding what I wanted on that site, I decided to check out a few places owned by friends.
One of my mates is a dead-set hoarder - can't throw a bloody thing out. From five miles up, his house looks like the place where Steptoe and Son lived. Old cars, boats, loose junk and old sheds, just filling up the back yard.
It looks like a bloody junk yard and I'd be embarrassed to claim it as mine.
Anybody else used Photomaps to "spy" on acquaintances or places of interest?
Damn the pixelated nudist beaches.
I find it quite handy to plan work on our farm, work out the next areas for weed eradication and spy on what the neighbours are doing

can help plan a route and show exactly where it is.
good thing about nearmaps was you could see the changes over time, which i found interesting.
google maps was invaluable in finding a place with a double garage (that would fit the pala) for us to rent. we grabbed the address then did a satelite view of the garage![]()
