YouTube - Advanced Performance Machining (APM) - Robbery 6/3/2011

Here's the aftermath of the robbery at APM in Smeaton Grange, NSW Australia that left a thriving workshop almost empty and a business in tatters.

Any information leading to the apprehension of those responsible or the recovery of goods stolen should be provided to Police by calling Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.

This is not how one should be conducting themselves & someone out there must know something about this. The safe return of the gear if of the most concern at this time.

Damn that sucks. Didn't you have an alarm or anything? Was it bypassed? It would of taken hours for them to go though like that. Machinery would have had to be carefully loaded, surely someone must of seen something.

    Scumbags have struck again.

    Pinched this from "Dragster.com.au"

APM break-in last night - lots stolen - all info appreciated
    Hi All,

Advanced Performance Machining in Smeaton Grange NSW was burgled last night and many thousands of dollars worth of engines, parts, racing accessories and race car equipment was stolen. As you can imagine, Steve and Aaron Hambridge are devestated by the discovery on their return to work this morning.

As well as the generic parts that were stolen from the shop, lots of specific things were taken too such as complete motors, short motors, complete motors waiting to be assembled, pistons, starters, magnetos and lots of parts etc.

    Engine and parts include;

Complete blown and injected Dart small block, Brodix heads, Kobelco K11 Superman, ProMag44, Knut 5in tall carbon fibre injector, Enderle pump, RCD front, all brand new and complete

383 Chev, rocker covers to sump, brand new rebuild, Dart 23deg heads

    2 x 6/71's, 2 x tunnel rams, 1 x sheet metal with two carbs

    BAE billet block

All parts for a CHI-headed Cleveland

Parts for Procharged 355 Holden including 4-bolt main block

460ci Dart block, pistons, rods, crank

Custom CP's from a 308 and numerous piston and rod sets

Broke into trailer and took brand new pistons, valves, springs for Aaron'salcohol dragster, rods, spare set of T&D rocker gear for race car

632c parts, Lunati crank, oliver rods, custom CP's etc

    Small Big&Ugly w/purple butterflies

One of the 6/71's that went was a super-rare Danikas superchargers

Crank, rods, pistons for FE BBF, Edelbrock heads

There is so much stuff missing and the list keeps growing as they discover things missing that should be there.

If anyone knows anything, hears anything or has an idea on who might have done this, please call Aaron or Steve Hambridge on 02 46471181 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Got this off GMH-Torana.com.au, which obviously was from dragster.com.au

Big haul there. fkn lowlife scum...

Wasn't my shop, just forwarding it on for a friend..... But yes it would have taken quite awhile to pull it off, with a few people in tow, so someone somewhere has got to know something about this.

A few of the engines are quite easy to reconise & have been in magazines before, so if anyone see's anything let me know.

meh it's what insurance is for.
depends if they cover the lost income... if not then its pretty harsh having to wait to get the money and then get all the parts you lost delivered... especially if you had promised something for a customer and werent able to deliver... hurts the companies name even if it wasnt their fault
