in my opinion the person that takes you on the test can be a huge factor haha. i had a lady who was bit harsh and failed me because i was at a four way stop sign and i stopped first, but the person on my left didnt completely stop and i went out and they rolled out n we both hit the brakes in the middle of the intersection and i got failed and the sheet said "put in a dangerous situation" when it wasnt my fault and i got 98% overall. all you can do is take your time, and dont run orange lights if you can stop, they hate it. buttttt you miight get a nice tester, my mate had an old bloke and he did a heaps crap reverse park (your only allowed 1 go no more) and he gave him 3 goes in total. at the end of the day if you fail you fail. doesnt mean you wont get them next time

im younger than all my mates so i was the last to go for my P's and we all went to the same guy and every single person got failed first go for stupid things so we were all convinced it was a "we make you fail no matter what" as they would go back to the same person do nothing different and get them.
i went to the same RTA same guy and was the only one to pass first go even though i know its been said 17 times the only things you neet to do differently to actual driving is turn your head.

"hi there mr. mirror i know you are only a 25 degree turn of the eye that i can easily do without moving and can see everything that is there but i need to turn my whole head that 25 degrees therefore taking my eyes off the road for a longer amount of time and i have to check all 3 mirrors every 10 seconds".... its ridiculous no body does that every1 just moves their eyes.

everything else dont worry about, you KNOW how to drive a car, you KNOW how to stop at a stop sign/lights, you KNOW how to indicate and you KNOW how to park a car. just because you have somebody different next to you means shit all, its your mind playing tricks on you.

wow.. until i posted this i didnt actually see how much rambling i just did... haha

Nope what I said was intended as a Joke.... What my custom title relates to is people posting stupid questions about the most simple stuff!

make sure all blinkers and brake lights work, i checked my mums old car before my test but i didnt relise the brake light in the back window didnt work so i couldnt do the test, then went again a couple weeks later and passed, i think you just need to look and act calm that way the tester will think your a confident driver and if you do any small mistakes he wont even really notice, just my advice

haha just chill and think "its just my p's test", and if you do fail and you go again you will probly be alot more relaxed because you have a better idea of what goes on
and yeah just stay calm and act like your going for a drive with your mum or dad or whoever you normally drive with, let us know what ends up happening

well i failed yesterday but it was entirely not my fault, was stopped at an amber light,as your meant to and some guy behind me got annoyed about it and made an annoyed gesture so i failed for that, she even told me it was because of that, she even told me it was a very low risk drive and i got 100/107 with 94% so booked in for the 2nd of may, hopefully i dont get some ######## behind me making me fail again thanks everyone for the help, i used it all while doing my test

It Must be a Given for them to just fail you for the First time, and test you a second time see if you drive any worse lol, know lots of people going through the same thing mate.
Dont let it get you down though, was not you fault, had a similar thing happen to me on my first test. I Just got my open license after 4 looooooooong years lol

Those instructors must have no life cause i could not do that for a job, i would be like OMG WTF ARE YOU DOING ARGGGHHHHH!!!! with some leaners lol

hangman, im not sure haha she told me thats exactly where i failed and the bit of paper said it but ahh well couldnt argue with her cause the manager would take the workers side + when i go dont wanna be on the bad side aha :S

edals yeah nearly all my mates fail first go for stupid things i reckon its just to stop guys from being over confident and being hoons, although we all end up being slightly hoonish in the end so they may aswell cut the crap on the petty things that arent even the learners fault so hoping they let me get it 2nd time around, congratz on the full licence by the way 4 years though? thats a really long time, nsw or qld?

ahahaha yeah some learners are terrible i will admit but hey we all learn to be better

You will probably get the same instructor/tester so just take it easy, don't let anything get to you and you will pass.

As soon as you get in the car do a burnout in the carpark and drift the car out onto the public road fish tailing down the street...then use the handbrake to stop at the lights(Front brakes are for pussies), Then throw in a couple of J turns instead of a 3point turn... add a handbrake turn into a parking sport and your done.
(Please ignore the above advice as this is what most of us would probably like to do when we did the test...

slutvs i would keep doing the circuit but there is like 4 different circuits and its random as to which ya get and i was perfect just the light incident ahahaha, and ive been told that albury (where im from and do my test) has the highest rate of first time failure in the country, bit annoying but i dont feel as bad if that is the case.

darcon666, i hope i get the same tester, she was really nice and didnt make me all that nervous, even let a few things slip (didnt write them down ) towards the end, oh and i did all that stuff the first time? she was pretty impressed, maybe thats why she failed me, to see me again hahaha
