Hey all,

gf managed to get easter off (she's backpacking in WA) and work have pretty much been busting my ass as they keep dictating when I get my holdiays, long story short they wouldnt let me take any around easter.

I got pretty much the 21-26 off and wanted to go see her in perth..... from adelaide and my budget for travel is a whole $500.

Been tryna secure flights over there but all the cheap tix seem to have sold out and im looking around the $450 mark just to get there.

Been looking at trains and most of them want to take 'scenic luxurious travel' there even in deadset economy making multiple stops and taking ages to get from adel to perth.

Anyone got any ideas how to get to perth quick and affordable over easter?

other than hitch hike or driving your holden ... um no.
There must be a site where you can jon up with other people making the same trip ? Backpacker sites or something

lol sold the holden and got a WRX. next holden will be a grange or another VR in good condition as a thrashbox

go to some truck stops etc or freight companies (small ones) and see if anyone is doing any loads to perth you might be able to get a lift to perth rather cheap in the passengers seat of a truck, getting back might be a problem though

lol its actually quite affordable. Around easter the companies jack up the price that cheap virgin ticket thats normally $90 is about $490 at the moment.
