    Question Some more PC craziness

Major hoo-ha over Kristen's Kiki | Tagalog, offensive language

    What... the... ####?

Here plates are removed because in the Filipino language it's offensive?

We're in Australia and speak english.

Does this mean that we cannot have any word on our plates that is a dirty word in any other language?

Ermm...now I know walking around some suburbs of Sydney it can feel like you are in the phillipines, but when on earth did Australia become a filipino state?

    Absolute joke.

what next, your regular plates (AAA-###) will be offensive to someone who has their own language of numbers and letters?

if people find something like that offensive, bad luck, get over it.
Whoever from the rta said "Yes it is Offensive", kick them out, they are just as bad.
but as usual the aussies of this country have to bow down to the minority

I know of someone with the last name 'buttkiss', pronounced 'bootkiss'. Swedish or german or some weird language that doesn't translate well to english Wasn't allowed to put her name on the back of her high school jersey because it was 'offensive'. I would be offended that my name is considered offensive by my school, and get ACA or TT onto it

One of my lecturers was telling me about a dentist from some European country, his last name basically pronounced as "Dick Lick".

I went to my first (of 3 currently) uni's with a Vietnamese girl who's name was quite literally 'Phuc Yu'

Imagine calling up the tax office, or the immigration department, they ask for her name and she's like Phuc Yu (#### You)

Many-a-time I have imagined calling up a government department and saying #### You.

    Ok.... I'm offended haha!

For those playing at home, the reason I am kikki is the way all of my nephew & nieces first pronounced my name when they were starting to talk, Aunty Kikki has just "stuck".

I thought the plates were appropriate for a porsche driver.
