He was literally...playing in traffic. I feel sorry for his family, I do. Noone wants to wake up in the morning to the police on your door, telling you that your stupid son got hit by a truck because he tried to run underneath it while it was moving. Its like those people that train surf. One of them gets knocked off and dies, as far as im concerned thats one less idiot in the world.

Indeed, no doubt speed will be a "contributing factor" in this accident. In fact, i think TAC and vicpol may as well say speed was a contributing factor in every accident, I mean afterall, if the car/truck/bus cannot move, then speed cannot be a factor lol.

I think its just sad and alcohol can make you do stupid things.... feel sorry for the truckie his family and his friends. no judgement on the bucks party or himself as we all do things we shouldnt under the influence some ppl just do things more serious than others. Alcohol is known to cloud reasonable thought.

I dont feel sorry for him. I know that sounds mean, but I dont.

I feel very sorry however for his poor family, and the poor truck driver involved. They have to live with this for the rest of their lives, and that's not fair. What is fair, is that the guy was killed by his own actions and no one elses. People do stupid things every day, and more often than not they take innocent people with them. Two good things come from this.... a) no one else was hurt (at least physically anyway), and b) other people with not much higher intelligence than him might think twice before doing this... yes this was a stupid thing to do, but hopefully other stupid people learn from it. It's a heavy cost to learn this lesson, but there's nothing unfair about this whole story. Stupidity (and possibly alcohol) was the only thing to blame here.
