because some main stream religions (christanity mostly) state/believe that we are the only ones in this universe (acording to "god") and if we ever make contact with another intelligent life form then some religions will go out the door (debunked in otherwords)

Scientists say there are no aliens because there's no proof to show them. Well 'scientists' thought the world was flat at one stage too.
Just because they cant prove it yet, doesnt mean its not true.

Ask them to prove the Bible is true.... yet still millions of followers based on faith.
I believe in both actually.... 1) that a supreme being of some sort had to start life in the universe in the first place, and 2) that because the universe is so old, surely there are beings out there faaaaaaarrr superior to us in every way, and travel beyond the speed of light isnt a problem.

What I reckon is that yes- we are unique, but we are a mix of different species. Apes, and other beings of foreign origin. The 'explosion' of development by us still cant properly be explained. Dinosaurs were around for millions of years and never progressed. We've been around for less than 1% of that time, yet we are advancing at a very fast rate.

But it simply believe that we are it, and that the whole universe and its billions of stars are 'just for us', is pretty shortsighted and maybe a little selfish. We aren't that unreal to warrant billions of years of evolution of the universe just so our little timeline of existance can be recorded very briefly before we kill ourselves and our planet, and then to leave things dead and empty. No way. We arent that perfect to warrant such a waste of space.

Personally I think there is/was a God but he is/was an alien that decided to have a play around with creating life and see what happened.

That being the case aliens have been here since day 1.

This alien did a few "miracles" only to be nailed to a cross by a bunch of people frightened of the unknown so he decided to keep a low profile and watch from a distance or undercover so to speak as these humans are an unpredictable bunch and coming back to life hurts a bit so he didnt want to have to keep doing it.

Just a theory.
