About 5 months ago my Brother bought me a Toyota Prado grande brand new. Last week i was Driving through a section of light up in QLD and i got t-boned by a bus. car went and hit a tree and was wrote of for 90k. as my bro bought it for me there was no loan on it so i have a spare 90k sitting in my pocket waiting to be used. I do not need another 4WD so he said he will now buy me an Audi A4. i accepted no q's asked and i do not have a clue what type but its arriving soon.

Do not ask for pics of crash because when i plug iPhone in PC it asks 7 million Q's irrelevant to what i want to do so to hell with that no photos

So ow any of you bloke have any human and realistic ideas on how to spend the
money

Firstly, You say you have a MY10 Prado, Toyota don't use 'MY**' on their cars.
Secondly, you said a brand new car it was, the 2011 LC Prado doesnt come in a Grande, the new range doesn't come in grande (see Toyota Prado: Pricing)
Thirdly, the Kakadu (top model) has a RRP of $88,904, So an insurance company isnt going to give you $1,096 more than the purchase price for a used car.

Since the money was a gift to you from someone who clearly doesnt need it, id consider giving a fair whack of it away. Do you have any young kids/nieces/nephews/family friends etc.? Id think about putting some of it in a trust fund for their education since you seem to be going alright yourself.

The MY designation has become quite popular lately so people use it for everything.
As for it being worth $88,904 new, that is with no extras or accessories. Add a few of those and it would be worth over $90K. Ever heard of 'agreed value' insurance? Maybe there was a few other things done to the car so rather then market value the OP opted for an agreed value.
