any help appreciated
HSV Clubsport VZ Body Conversion - Mace CAI - 2.5" Walker Single Catback - Red Neons - Custom Dash
Good luck with that. Usually it only covers drink driving offences.

yeah you can its called a train ticket..
There is no such thing as a "work only" drivers permit for ANYONE or ANY offence in NSW.... That was phased out 10 years ago. The only way you can drive is if you appeal and win. Thats that. Oh and unless you wanna spend massive dollars on legal representation, dont bother appealing.
Was it a first time for speeding? (got pinged to far over the limit and lost your licence)
Was this the 2nd or 3rd time for speeding?
What were the circumstances (residential area?)
What was the limit and what were you caught doing?
not on my p's but i just got 400 in fines and 4 demerit points, all in one weekend. going to invest in a good laser radar detector. if it saves me just one 15k over ticket it was worth it. its all revenue raising. all of my tickets were mobile speed cameras. hitting another car doing 60 or 75 isnt going to make airbags magically appear in my vp, im ###ked either way... im not a wreckless driver, id rather pay attention to my surroundings and other drivers than 1cm give or take on my speedometer, watching your gauge cluster is what causes accidents. dont get me wrong 20km plus is silly but 10 over give me a f'n break, 150 bucks for that? my 2c

Funny, thousands of people a year manage to not lose thier P license, can't be that hard to keep.

I'm guessing that's a Vic reference, I'm in NSW.
Just to clarify, I don't agree with a lot of laws and don't obey all of them either, but if I get done doing something it's my fault.
I actually got done speeding last long weekend (118 on the F3) which also included double demerits. My first course of action WASN'T coming here and asking how to get out of it. Instead I said thanks officer and blocked out the mrs complaining for the next hour. It was also the first ticket for anything I've had in over 5 years.

VICTORIA - (Road Safety Act 1986) 74. (1) A person must not own, sell, use or possess a device the sole or principal purpose of which is to prevent the effective use of a prescribed speed measuring device or to detect when a prescribed speed measuring device is being used.
think your right too... gonna have to go hidden then..

You were saying 15 km/h over the limit. For the record, I firmly believe that many roads have limits set way too low. Hume freeway to Sydney and Eastlink (in most places) are 2 examples.
I believe they have radar detector detectors too. Isn't it just easier to obey the law???

Well at least this thread has exposed the tools that hide within this forum....
Some states are using LIDARS, laser speed detectors, since the beam that hits your car is about 1mm across, by the time a detector detects it you have already been pinged, so no point really. And then when the cop pulls you up and gives you a ticket, and manages to see your detector, they will bend you over the bonnet.

i lost my license for 3 months a while back, and here in QLD you can get a work license cost me 34$ i think. and i was on Green P's
first one was for not having P plates up properly (back was sitting in the parcel shelf)
and the second ticket was for having faded tint on my back window. making my car un road worthy.
but lifes a bitch lol
the new generation of detectors are undetectable by lidars as well. its all a matter of what you wanna spend, also they can be hard wired into the car so on visual inspection theres nothing to see. its funny too cause people ship them to here all the time thats why i wasnt aware they were illegal, guess you learn something new every day...
