It's time to buy another clock radio after 10 years or so and thought I would head down the direction of a DAB Digital Clock Radio path but there really seems to be very little info out there.
Anyone had any experiences with them or what to stay clear of?
The one's Dicks Smith sell aren't rated very highly and the general lack of info is making it tough.
I don't really want any iPod dock, just something with the time and can listen to the radio as I'm trying to drift off to sleep, I would go as far as saying I wouldn't even use it for the alarm side of it (always wake up before any alarm anyway).
Seems a couple of decent one's out there from what I can establish:
- Pure Siesta
- Pure Siesta Flow - I am leaning toward this one given it has wifi streaming ability.
I'm open to suggestions that's for sure.
Thanks
Cheers
Well i work at Harvey Norman so i have played around with a few of them. I can vouch for the quality of the Pure AV brand, they produce high quality speakers and a very easy to use unit. As for the digital reception i haven't heard the ones you have mentioned. But the clarity of internet/digital radio is definitely noticeable.
Also worth looking at are the Pure AV ONE classic and mini (if you want something smaller and more affordable) and maybe check out the Roberts range, it is a bit more expensive but loads more features
Good luck with it
having bought a $15 alarm radio i can tell you first hand stay away from them lol. you get what you pay for. another thing to think about is how bright the face display is when you turn the lights out. this one i bought makes the room glow like its a radio active simpsons joke after lights out. make sure it has a dimmer switch feature. i have a vhs tape in front of it as a light block. you might not have this problem but thought id mention it anyway..![]()
why not wake up to a performance every morning. saw this in a jaycar brochure the other day
