For instance, today I walked into Supercheap to buy some windscreen wiper blades, and ended up buying
- An air dual action sander
Air 3" Disc cut off tool
Murex 2.5mm arc welding sticks
Electrode pocket thing
Ground clamp for arc welder
Cheap arse 1/4" socket set
Marker sticks
Oh and the wiper blades too (but nearly forgot them)
Not bad for $86 I say.

Not so much, 'much more' but a fair decent hit to the wallet.

..And my P2's. I took three steps into service SA, turned around and left Service SA. Queues Queues QUEUES!!
I now have the car booked on friday to get "Octane" tint installed.
oops :P
This is basically how my build up started. Luckily, most of these were bargains I couldnt really pass up at the time, hence why I went a little overboard.
Stockies needed new tyres = bought 17" rims and tyres
Rear pads were fkd and some cockhead cut me off in the first week of getting the car = slotted discs and decent pads all round
Bought a catback = it didn't match up to the standard Y pipe so I bought extractors and cats to suit
A few bushes and the rear shocks were stuffed = new fe2 spec suspension and complete nolathane bush kit.
Wanted RR's for more power = bought them and a turbo kit. Although, the turbo kit will be going into a tribute VB-VK V6 project in memory of mum's late partner Jamie. He loved his early girl commodores. He passed away from cancer on Mother's day.
I bought a CRS blower kit for a VT V6 which led to me buying a 66 thousand dollar cruiser ute...don't know if that counts either
Im hopeless for this.
Go to Caravan and Camping expo, tow a new boat home.
Go to 4wd expo, buy "new" 4wd.
Go to a friends for dinner, buy a new rifle.
Generally going to buy a bolt or gasket I come home with $100+ worth of more tools.
My missus doesnt trust me to go and by maccas any more in fear of what I may come home with.
Someone I know got sent to bunnings for a gas bottle, came home with a ####off-huge 6 burner barbecue. Oops.

nothing much, went to a pick yourself wrecker on Saturday (where you do just that) just for a plug that plugs into the PWR or TC button on a VZ
So far Ive been back 2 more times
Got the harness and plug, plus
- leather gear knob
- leather handbrake cover
- 4x satin chrome door handles
- headlight switch with the foglight emblem (ive retrofitted foggies)
- 2x spare steering wheel radio controls (they break easily on the VZ)
- some loose nick nacks for other peoples cars, centre console light/switch and wiring, various switches, reverse sensor module, dual tone horns, various trim panels.
Cost $2 entry each time (not bad for 6 bucks)
Also while we were at it we bought a Berlina centre console for dads wagon - $50, bit of a sting but hey I saved far more on the other stuff ;P
Then again I also walked into Holden a few weeks back for $12 worth of seat clips so I could strip my seats down and fix a squeak, walked out with a mobile phone switch to replace my broken one, 2 HRT shirts, a HRT USB stick and a baby Team Vodafone race suit!
went to get a new set of wiperblades last week,

went to the servo to buy some smokes, came out with $40 worth of twisties and a ukelele...i try not to drink when i've been paid haha
Ha, you blokes are amateurs. I walked in to my local servo to pay for a tank full of petrol, got talking to the owner of the sandwich bar in there, been married to her for 20 years now.
Who doesn't get the munchies while their drunk?
This thread is gold, especially like the stories or people going to buy parts and just getting a new car.
Another one I will add, my mum and me went to do the fortnightly shopping, and came home with a puppy. Dad was not amused.
