I cannot believe the autacity of the defence lawyer to say this.

What about the life sentence his young client has inflicted on the victim, she is permantly disabled, will have no quality of life AND she gets to live with the fact she was raped.

I can't wait until this piece of shit goes to prison and the other inmates find out what he did.

Our justice system is too full of limp wrist greybeards and greenies for it to ever hand out a death sentence.

But I agree, death sentence should be on the table for stuff like this amongst others.

Death sentence just opens up a bucket of worms for that poor bloke who was 1 in a million wrongly accused - hence why America removed the sentence almost completely now. That and why give them a quick and easy way out, a life sentence in prison is much more fitting.

The issue there is that he'll get beaten once, and then the limp wrist will take pitty on him and either remove him from general population OR even worse, release him because since he's been behaving.

I'd just rather have him excecuted and then there is no chance of him being returned to the community. Plus we don't have to support him with our taxes.

Death sentence = Budgetary savings, major deterant and no chance of scumbags ending up back on the street.

Win, win, win situation really.

Your gripe is with the prison system - which I agree with. Prison should be a minimal humanitarian condition - 3 meals a day (better than most get), living conditions sub-par to equal of a 3rd world country. Then maybe criminals would think twice, rather than view it as a holiday retreat.

Your gripe is with the prison system - which I agree with. Prison should be a minimal humanitarian condition - 3 meals a day (better than most get), living conditions sub-par to equal of a 3rd world country. Then maybe criminals would think twice, rather than view it as a holiday retreat.

It already is. The med security joints aren't as bad but the max security joints are just terrible (as they should be). If I was ever locked up I would off myself in the first night because your never coming outta there the same way.

Normally, for most people who break the law, I agree on prison sentencing etc, but for cases involving rape, murder, violence against women and/or men (Yes, men get abused too), child molestation/paedophilia etc, that's where the line goes from straight to rubbed out. He deserves to get thrown into solitary confinement, and I don't mean this flat screen TV with a comfy bed solitary, I mean the good ol' fashioned square room with a toilet and a slab of wood on chains as a bed. For life.

But here's something to make you wonder about humanity:
