Default Is this the death knell for Tiger Airways?

    This just in....

CASA extends Tiger suspension | Adelaide Now

Must say I giggled at this comment on another forum:

At least they've shut down Tiger before any poor bogan gets killed.

Oh great...means more of the unruly twats will come back to QANTAS. Since tiger started, flying has been quite nice. I wish Air travel could go back to being a luxury of sorts where it was a dress up occasion. Nothing worse than bogans on the plane in singlets and thongs and drinking cheap cola and scoth/whisky.

Nah, I think the Qantas prices are a bit too much for the bogans. But then again, once they get their travellin wingz.............

On my regular route, Qantas is already full of the FIFO bogans.

Last time I was in the Perth Qantas Club it was full of mining guys in footy shorts, singlets, thongs, shaved heads and beards, sinking as much piss as they could and getting loud. Its been like that for years now. Brisbane ain't so bad yet.

Hopefully the Qantas prices keep the single mums with multiple screaming brats out.

lol at all the bogan comments. However in regards to tiger, they are owned by singapore airlines, so it really depends how much cash they are wilingl to throw at tiger if it will survive or not.

If the CEO jumped ship, you know it's over (wanted his golden handshake before it went into liquidation).

Tiger will cease to exist (due to poor PR). Singapore AL will then create a new name AL with the same guts as Tiger.

I have friends whose Companies make them fly Tiger for business, my impression was 'tight fisted companies'

I recall recently a case here before the courts was held up because a QC was flying from Melbourne on Tiger and the flight was cancelled. I thought then that surely a QC can afford a flight on a better airline.

    they will get back.
if not another airline will take its place.

most pilots will normally go to another airline anyway, so its not like they will miss out on work or anything.
like most ex Ansett pilots are at Virgin, Jetstar, QANTAS etc
how about we make the pedals out of sticky rubber and the shoes with steel spikes. at least my shins would like that

they can't afford to loose millions every day on downtime
chances are they will close up shop, respray the planes in new livery and rebirth the airline under another name

Couldn't happen fast enough to the Dodgy brothers airline. I flew Jetstar once and felt like i needed a shower as soon as i got off the plane.

Ohh watch out for the JC aristocratic set sipping their skinny Lattes!

Personally I can't see them coming back. Their reputation is now shot to pieces really. Oh and Sashyre, I think you mean 'death knell'
