Default We must all be vigilant

Hello one and all, we need to be extra carefull and watchfull of our children in our current environment.
Especially of our daughters, I have two very young daughters and I am concerned about them growing up in Australias current environment. And I fear conditions will only get worse.
The point of this thread is to make others aware of todays Police report:

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a teenage girl was allegedly sexually assaulted in Sydney’s west on Sunday (10 July 2011).

Sometime between 2am and 2.15am, the 15-year-old girl was walking through Parramatta’s Church Street Mall when she was approached by two males, who were not known to the girl.

The men attempted to talk to the girl before one indecently assaulted her. They then forced her to a nearby garden-bed where she was allegedly sexually assaulted.

While this was occurring, the girl appealed to a male passer-by for help, however he walked away.

After being released, the girl returned to a fast food restaurant in Church Street Mall and reported the incident to her friends.

Police from Parramatta Local Area Command then attended and established a crime scene.

Investigators would like to speak to two men who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The first is described as being of black African appearance, about 40 years old, 160-165cm tall, and a small build. At the time he was wearing a grey puffy jacket with a fluffy collar and blue jeans. He also spoke with a heavy accent.

The other man is only described as being of black African appearance, about 30 years old, and he was wearing dark clothing.

Police from the Joint Investigation Response Squad (JIRS) are investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone who can assist the investigation to come forward, and are particularly appealing for the male passer-by to come forward and speak to investigators.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Now I know 15 year old girls should be at home in bed at this hour, but it serves as a warning to what Australia is becoming.
Please keep a watchfull eye on your children.

Yeah I agree that it's bad but in saying that I for one as a 6 3" wouldn't be walking by myself @ that time of the night, as you're asking for trouble. Common sense would suggest that scum wonder the streets @ that time.

This sort of shit right here is why my daughter will never be walking around alone at 2am in the morning and also why she has been doing martial arts lessons from the age of 5 and continuing to train 12 odd hours a week.

I trained since I was about 7... about 9 years I was doing it... It's the only reason I can walk though groups of people like this and not feel scared..

I hope the 'male passer-by' gets done with accessory or something, arsehole. Seriously at least get out of eye-sight and call the cops or something.

As said before who in their right mind would let a 15 yr old walk through the streets at that time. Your just asking for trouble. The fact no one did anything is no surprise people are too scared now days in the fear of the retribution. The actions of one cannot condemn the actions of many by the sounds of it one person didn't want to help and can you blame him. Who would have the guts to stand up to those 2. Now yes all well and good call out of eye sight but by that time it probably would of been too late anyway.

I know if i had a 15 year old she would definetely not be out that late and on her own. Even when i go out with friends I make sure that they never go off on their own people cant be trusted these days. Also i watched a show where they said that girls are told to scream fire instead of help as people are scared to come to their aid when someone screams help

as for the passer by heres the article from ninemsn

While there is no legal obligation to render assistance, certainly there is a moral one," she said.

"We would hope that members of the community that saw a girl in such distress would certainly come on board and give anyone a helping hand, or at least call the police, if they saw something like that."

But police aren't ruling out the possibility the man may not have heard her screams for help.

"He might have had ear plugs and an iPhone," said Det Super Rustja.

"He might have been under the influence of alcohol and been unsure of what he heard."

She called on the man to contact police.

Given the description I'd say they are Sudanese which doesn't surprise me. Sudanese have no respect for their own woman so why would they have respect for ours. The dirty border jumpers should be deported if they get caught. Or worse, they should put them in Goulburn Gaol and let the inmates sort them out (as they should do to those fkn Skaf brothers).

There are also black African american, Kenyan, Nigerian,
And how do you know that they are DIRTY border jumpers? just because the description was black African lol.
In Fiji the police would find these dirty dogs no matter what color and bash them and put him in jail and for the girl roaming around at night would get told off and delt with.

Seriously?! You obviously don’t have kids for a start. And you have a rather unique view of culpability. So in your opinion parents who let their kids out at 2 am are worse people than two men who attack and assault a 15 year old girl? While I wouldn’t want my daughter or me for that matter wandering alone at that time I think you should be able to. Despite the bad judgment by the girl (although we don’t really know her circumstances) and the apparent negligence of the parents ( but again we presume) I cant help but think the fault lies pretty solidly with the perpetrators…

Again in an ideal world you would rush to her aid. But I know of a case where a friend’s brother did just that and ended up assaulted by the man and the woman who was initially screaming for help. He ended up with severe brain injuries. You need to pick your fights and if you pick em be sure you are going to prevail . I would definitely agree that phoning of contacting the Police would certainly be a minimum response though.

    Pretty ordinary situation all round.

You say you should be able to wonder the street alone at that time.
This is not a ideal world like you said.
I know i would not send my 15 year old daughter out that late. If she does not like it she can stay out. The parents had a hand in it as well.

2am, whats to say the parents were fast asleep and little miss snuck out to go hang out with her friends? the blame lies solely with the 2 men who decided thats its A-OK to sexually assault someone

What an unbelieveable contribution to the debate.

As far as I'm concernerned. If you come to this country and do the things described you should be jailed, stripped of citizenship (if held) and deported!

Your right it is the 2 mens fault.
But the girl is not innocent either in this so called case.
She disrespected her parents she new what she was doing if she was sneaking out.
So she was doing the wrong thing as well but did not deserve what she got.
At the same time we dont know what degree the sexual assault was 2nd degree or 4th degree. Even though it does not make it right.

Why is it a unbelievable contribution. There are so many teenagers out there that look for attention and make things up.
look at the following link is one example

Well its safe to say if she did sneak out she won't do it again

In a perfect world it would be great to walk around at 2 in the morning but wake up this is not a perfect world
    Murder
    Drugs
    Fights
    Sexual assult
    Gangs

Are in the news daily so how can you not think walking alone at that age is a bad idea
