    Default this years tax scams. what have you recieved

    this is just a thread to post your tax scams so if other people get them they can stay well away mine went like this.

    you guys might think its stupid, cause you probably have an IQ over 40, but even if they can fool 1 out of 10000 people there doing very well for themselves.

    sad thing is they probably get most of the older people who are not up to speed with all the techno savvy internet bullshit that goes on.

    id realise it was a joke quite a few different ways, one of them being a tax refund of only $370

    yeah wouldn't suprise me if a few of the ederly got stung with this one. Im sure there are more than a few pensioners who could actually use the $370 they are offering.

    how low do you have to be to scam people that work hard for there money! seriously WTF! i havent had a tax hoax but i've had a few phone calls from "microsoft head office" claiming "we've done some analysis and your computer has viruses! please send us your ip address so we can remote access your cpu and fix it."" ahhhhhh NOO! funny thing is they tried stinging at I.T nerd friend of mine! lol

    some ppl really deserve to be shot!

    I lodged mine on etax the other day, don't know how long it'll take though, only getting $641

    Like I said above, one week exactly for me, 2 weeks max for etax according to the ATO. Unless of course it needs human consideration or you get audited.

    Yeah I think I got mine in about a week last year from etax, & I get mine directly into my bank account I think

    Mines direct into my account as well. But last year mine took about 7-8 weeks thanks to the shitstorm about HECS and thier new system.

    Sadly there are many people out there who will fall for these sorts of scams.

    Besides scams being against the law, I'm pretty sure impersonating a government department and government employee is a federal crime that probably carries some pretty substantial penalties.
