I have a flat spot on the outter edge of the inner rim. anyone on forums successfully just bashed it out?
alloy or steel?
alloy will need to be rerolled by a alloy repair place but a steel rim you could just try hitting it with a hammer...
Does the rim still hold air? Does it balance?

How bad is it? They can balance out alot
^ This. If it still holds air and can balance, things aren't too bad.

Do you have an idea of prices of re rolling? (its alloy)
I had the same problem and I took mine to Promac in newy done 2 for 240, good as new..
i had a crack and buckle in one of my 19 inch rims and it cost me $80 to get fixed
Yep that's exactly what happen to mine, great price tho! How they holding up?
held up great, the first set of 19s i got,one had a really dodgy weld on it and didnt realize till i got home with them that another one had a crack so i had them both repaired and rolled, cost $160 for the 2.
then when i bought my 19s i have now, when i picked them up,one of them had a crack also so took it to the same bloke and he fixed it up really good, been nearly a year and seems fine.
these were done at a proper alloy repair place in west gosford and from what id heard before going there,he has a pretty good name around the place, alot of tyre shops use him etc
Sounds like a bad run with rims mate lol at least u found the right bloke for the job.. I live in muswellbrook and newy is the closest I knew of.. It was only a hairline fracture but he put a good inch worth of weld on it.. Heading to gossy tomorrow for the weekend actually lol
ebay mate... first ones made no mention of it at all and the second set of rims i have now,i asked the bloke several times if they were cracked at all and if the tyres were good,i was told all good, drove to southern sydney, tyres were cracked in the walls and rim was cracked. i expected i was going to buy new tyres anyway so wasnt that worried.
bloke was decent though, ended up knocking $220 off the price. wasnt a massive crack, maybe a few cms long so i understood how he missed it,
yeah mine were only hairline cracks on the inside also...
I haven't got an after shot
