Hey guys I'm doing my major work portfolio and got stuck with timber sizes.
So i got some measurements but i need them in smaller sizes to figure out numbers for my costing sheet.
ANYWAYS, if there is someone out there that can help me, and I'm sure there is, that would be great.
If 1 cubic metre of aussie red cedar is $5544, How much does 1 cubic centimetre cost?
Im sure it's easy to do but i can't seem to get a good answer.
Thank you for any help.
$554.40
You know, a cubic metre being 100 times more than a cubic centimetre....
By definition, there are 100 cm in a metre.
Therefore a cubic metre is 1 m x 1 m x 1 m, or 100 cm x 100 cm x 100 cm. Thus a cubic metre is 1,000,000 cubic centimetres. I'll let you divide the cubis metre price by the number of cc's in a cubic metre.
Also a litre is 1,000 cubic centimetres, so that 1,000 litres fits into 1 cubic metre. Note that a Commodore boot is around 500 litres.
all good thanks guys, i had the right idea to begin with but when timesing the price by the amount i forgot that i was working in volume and not area, oh well thanks for you help guys. NICE MATHS SKILLS...![]()
