Boy throwing rocks from overpass shot by crossbow
San Diego police say a boy throwing rocks at vehicles was struck in the abdomen by a crossbow bolt fired by a passenger in small sport utility vehicle.
Officer Dino Delimitros says the boy and a friend were throwing rocks in the Linda Vista neighborhood Monday afternoon when a passenger in a black Toyota RAV4 pulled out a crossbow and fired.
The boy was shot in the abdomen and was taken to a hospital. The San Diego Union-Tribune says his injuries are not life-threatening.
His name and age weren't released.
Nobody has been arrested.

Hahaha thats justice right there! The guy probably copped a rock to his car (and others), the boy copped a crossbow bolt (and lived). Case closed.
The kid got off pretty lightly considering what could have happened to a motorist if they got hit. Who remembers that Damian bloke in Adelaide a few years ago that copped a rock through his window? That guy will never fully recover from his injuries.

The number of people killed by rocks each year grows. Often, they are the lucky ones. The survivors have horrific injuries that disfigure, brain injuries that never heal.
Never will advocate violence or retaliation, but what more can you expect? Every good turn deserves another.....

This should be made legal to shoot rock throwers with crossbows. Bet he won't be doing that again.
The cops are probably still laughing. I doubt much will happen to the shooter if they bother to find him, he can claim it was self defence and protecting other members of the public.
Some prick hit my car with a rock one night ... he was well hidden so i couldn't find him.

exellent result. Motorists have had enough of kids throwing projectiles from overpasses. It can and has killed people.

These people , about 18-21 years of age were throwing golf balls off an overpass in kingswood which is actually above the great western highway ...
Long story short we seen something drop behind us then it was in front of us , we swerved to miss it but it got the roof just above the front window , now there is a dent
Angry like you would be, we drove up there and they had already started walking down so we didn't see them . But we did find out what car they were driving so they will get there's one day =]

This kinda reminds me of something my mum told me about years ago. Driving through suburbia, there's two kids messing around, one on each side of the road. As a car approaches, they act as if they're pulling a wire tight between them. Every car slammed on the brakes to stop from hitting the 'wire'.
I wouldn't slow down. Either A) They're pretending and causing people to slam on brakes (not safe) or B) They actually are that stupid, and when my car connects with the fishing line, they lose their fingers.
