    Default helpful advice please?

    g'day all,

my question is, what do you guys think is better, a vs or a vt??
i know this isnt the right spot to post car questions but i dunno
where to post it, cant post it in vs-vr sub forum or vt-vx sub forum
    due to personal favourites haha.

i have a vs but it just keeps needing work done due to my crash
that wrecked everything internally, and dad found a vt that is pretty cheap and its stock,
+ older couple in the bush own it so only would really have to fix suspension, which i would
lower anyway, well besides general wear and tear.

so what do you guys and girls think i should do, keep throwing money into the vs or get the vt
and use it?? keep in mind i am a red p plater so less attention would be preferred :P

    Thanks in advance,
    Corey.

My old vs was a good car but I do like the vt shape personally.

How much damage did you do? It's possibly worth fixing to sell on?

Vs is a better car looks/performance wise but I would be going for the VT, depends how much damage your VS has though I guess.

If youre looking at a VT vs VS from a reliability standpoint, theres really nothing between them. They are both old cars, both will have high k's at this point and both will have simlar problems.

I had similar problems with my vr, and ended up being forced to get a new car got a vt and am loving it, have a good check over the vt and ensure you want it, test drive an all, if you like what you see I recommend getting it

go the vt over the vs if its a solid good condition car, but mechanically i dont think theres bugger all difference between them.

Go to local car yard and at similar aged vehicles - take a heap ofmthem for a drive and see what they are like. There are differences between the VR & VT in handling and performance, but due to age this may be diminished.

    Test and then decide.

Personally, I would get a VS Statesman or Caprice - hate the VT dash.

well i am now owning a vs and a vt at the moment haha
vt needs a sunroof and rego, but gunna get her checked out for a roadworthy/car check thingy
and see whether to just fix the sunroof and sell it for 3- 3.5 unreg, or sell the vs for 2-2.5
vt is a berlina has 206k kms, got it for 1300 because of the sunroof, has a few dints along the drivers side.
she is stock as a rock but.
