i find myself having a great run home today, no lights, minimal traffic... only to be slowed down by some ignorant person driving 45-50km/h in a 70 zone!

i mean this carried on for around 5 km with no chance to over take

any way i belive that going 30km/h under the limit is just the same as going 30km/h over the limit...

so in saying this....

My neighbour bitches about my dog barking, which she does because he tormented her as a puppy. And she isn't a nuisance barker either, the courier driver that delivers my online orders gets on fine with her, random strangers ask to pat her while i'm walking her, she's fine and loves the attention (golden retrievers are attention whores). His dog on the other hand will howl for hours especially at night and especially at cars (guess what we live just off a busy 4 lane road). I've spent several hundred dollars on measures to stop her barking which have been effective because she is a smart dog. He hasn't said boo since she has stopped barking but do you think he does anything to shut his dog the hell up? Shift workers need their sleep dammit!

Alright so it's the end of a long day and we're all a little short on tolerance. Just curious, if it's an offence to travel at twenty or less kilometres an hour under the speed limit, what the motorist was doing was illegal right?

45km/h in a 70 zone is not a reasonable speed and I would suggest in the absence of a mitigating circumstance (eg, horrendous weather) that anyone incapable of driving a reasonable speed should not be on the road. There's a BIG difference between driving safely, and waving at Usain Bolt as he's jogging beside you

to the few of you that have stated that im a clown for this getting on my nerves, you clearly have very simple minds.

how is this any diffrent to speeding? i cannot verify this but i belive that there is a LAW against this kind of driving

i dont hoon and i dont drive like im on valium, and i belive if more people drive like this there would be less accidents!!!

You do realise that you were only actually slowed down by about 90 seconds? I'm sure getting home is really important but not THAT important that you needed those few seconds back. Just think of it this way... all the time you gained by getting a clean run at the traffic lights was only averaged out by a slow driver. Deal with it.

No it's not 90 secs, it's more like 2 mins 22 secs.
You could be having a cuppa almost 2 1/2 minutes earlier if it weren't for the slow person.

Yes people that drive 20+k under the limit annoy me too. It is actually illegal, something to do with obstructing traffic? Bad weather, Learner drivers, mechanical breakdown, all understandable. But most people in those situations will pull over out of the way. However some people are just off dreaming in their own little world without consideration to other drivers. To me they are equally as dangerous as speeding or erratic drivers. Im guessing the Police and safety experts think similarly and this is why they make it an offence to do it.
We get it here. The buses at a certain time of day or night, obviously running ahead of time and drive 40-50 km/h in an 80 zone. This is inconsiderate driving. And it makes it dangerous to overtake with oncoming traffic going 20-40km/h faster than you. You choose not to for safety, of course you're going to get narky.
