Default a bit wierd, but, whats up with this??

    Hi guys,
After having my license for about a year and getting around the place, I've noticed something weird about vt's. a large portion of them seem to be missing petrol cap covers.

This makes me wonder if they are off because they are one of the easiest to get into and siphon fuel out of, and should i be getting a petrol cap lock? or is it just the international sign for bogan??

either way, what the hell is going on? lol

You're from ipswich, so either they man-handle the flap and break it because they don't care about their car. Or certain elements of society like to steal/sniff petrol.

    LOL above.

Its quite easy to break them off by accident. I snapped mine off one night when filling up at the servo, leaned across to put the nozzle back and my thighs hit the capped and it snapped.

Though I fixed mine with just some epoxy glue, $5 and 5 minutes and all fixed.

haha. the petrol cover off shows who, and the different coloured panels show what you can get.

Also it adds +20hp, because of the speed dimple effect.

if you find your car pulls to the left when you let go of the wheel at 100ks ya take the fuel flap off and the extra drag on the right hand side makes the car run straight

My brother had a rear bar painted and he removed the fuel cap so they could match the paint perfect. Also these people just could be lazy and have them removed since i noticed its arduous for some indicating now a days.

Seems to be a design flaw in the VT-VZ series, I see quite a few VXs, VYs and VZs missing their fuel door, or their fuel door is buckled and doesnt fit properly against the car panel

Ahaha this thread is so full of win :'D

To the OP, the fuel doors on the VT-VZ range are pretty tempremental, and it's quite easy to snap it off when its open at the servo. My best mate did the same thing 2 days ago.

Its an easy fix though. Like I said above, a '5 minute, $5 fix'.
