Whether you like Apple products or not, it's undeniable that Steve Jobs was a huge influence to the industry from the very start, not just in recent years. It's an enormous loss to that world and his replacement in the company has MASSIVE shoes to fill.

He never actually invented anything, the only thing he innovated was marketing.

Ripping off an idea, concept or prototype and turning it into a fantastic user friendly item which no-one had ever seen before yet suddenly wants to own instantly is close enough to inventing

true, but not everyone in this thread was saying he invented things, he was a massive influence on technology through the 90's to today (well not to today obviosly)

and yes, his marketing did affect most 16 year olds that bitch at their parents to buy the apple products, so i say, he was a bloody smart fella!
