It is a bit of an emo kid/hardcore/scenefag fest.
However.
DragonForce and Turisas. Some fantastic battle metal. Hatebreed, Biohazard, Meshuggah, Black Label Society, Machine Head, Chimaira, Lamb of God and Coal Chamber will get the metalheads going.
Im going to see Turisas and Dragonforce - ill be there with Fur and Steel
Overall fairly happy with it though, its got a good mix, as long as they dont have the good metal bands playing at the same time and play shit like... The Used up against Lamb of God so you dont miss out on the good shit![]()

lamb of god are awesome live
The Mad Dutchman
The first soundwave was the only good one, apart from this one. The rest were shit. Revolution was a joke, AJ needs to get his shit straight, cos' if he cancels this one, I'm never going to another soundwave again.

Soundwave is the festival of choice for me. This looks like a pretty solid line up. I am really keen to see Alter Bridge. Pretty happy with System of a Down, Slipknot, Lamb of God, Trivium, Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society and Mastodon. If you haven’t seen Dillinger Escape Plan yet you are in for a treat. Albeit a rather intense and exhausting one!
I've seen LoG a few times, every time was such a great show!! Best time was at the Arena in Brissy, can't remember what gig it was at, might have been with 36 crazyfists or something like that. f-ckin insane

LoG is always good, but they usually have the drums set up to loud.
would of liked to see anthrax added, being that they have the new album out
The Mad Dutchman
System Of A Down
Slipknot
Limp Bizkit
Marilyn Manson
A Day To Remember
Machine Head
Lamb Of God
Trivium
Black Label Society ... Good lineup! ADTR and slipknot probably main ones i wanted to see.. Too bad there's not BFMV on there. Dragonforce is there though, that'll be different.
Black viel brides, unwritten law.. AHH so many decent ones there. Then again a few i dunno too.
Sucks there's no Eyes set to kill, modern day escape, motionless in white etc.. All bands with only 1-2 albums that need to be heard!
There will be a 2nd lineup announced so hopefully ESTK will play. I enjoy singing along to them haha, well, screaming, and trying to sing, but yeah they need more coverage, they are an awesome band!
