One of my mates keeps letting his car get really dirty then brings it to mine cause he knows I can stand a dirty car and will clean it if it gets left there long enough lol. I am one of those weird bastards who loves cleaning cars.

^^ Same!! I have the SSV with me at the moment, wondered why until I had a look in the rear and there it was, leather conditioner & the car wash. Cheeky bugger!! I HATE a dirty car!!! And the the previous person who says they care more about not killing their kid while overtaking, a shiny car stands out WAY more haha!

I don't like the automatic car washes, I just take a bucket and use their water. Whittled it down to $3 for a full wash now.

I have to restate my position. After spending 2 hours washing and cleaning every little crevice this morning it can be a truly intimate and gratifying experience with the one you love. :-D

get free vouchers for the local autowash its a brand new autowash and it does a really great job but scared of damaging the paint so I try to avoid it but its so hard with all these free vouchers (they come on the back of supermarket dockets)

Oh when I was young I used to spend hours and hours cleaning my car.........now at 40 with a family and my own business I have much more important things to do than washing my cars.......car washes all the way for me but occasionly take them down the ones where ya wash them yourself..

I have been thinking lately though, I might just pay someone to clean them for me

Hose, sponge, hose and maybe wax if I have the time. Would polish but have no idea how.

Auto car washes have one big downside - is any of the crud from the last vehicle left on the gear. That has the potential for scratches. :-(
