Default Shipping brakes from Melbourne to Sydney

To cut a long story short, I bought a brake kit today in Melbourne, and I need to get it shipped to either Sydney 2000, or Springwood NSW 2777..

Just wondering if anyone has done this, and what has been the best option to do.. Im tossing up between courier, Putting in seperate boxes and going through AusPost, or something else..

It consists of 2 front calipers & lines, as well as a set of massive rotors (330mm)

    Thanks in advance

    VKC

E-go have pretty crap customer service, but they do eventually get it done, they are very cheap. Have the dude you bought the gear off wrap it all up (I use glad wrap for everything) or some bubble wrap etc, then into a box or two. Will work out pretty cheap.

Courier,Ausport charge an arm for anything thats even slightely big and heavy. sent a netbook via post to S.A once and it was 30 bucks postage with auspost and a netbook weighs a lot less than a brake disc.

I think Aus will be around $35 a box for registered (20kg box, biggest size on the iPhone app they have), and Ill probably need 3-4 boxes..

Yep they do insurance, its through Hunter Express so its a well known company. Insurance is available, something like $1 for $50 insurance coverage, $5 for $100 insurance coverage etc etc. They can be slow on pick up, but I still use them time and time again. They offer tracking too. They do depot do depot or door to depot etc, can make it very cheap. Just hit up the website for a quote.

Put it this way. Many small boxes = more risk of 1 part going missing and ####ing everything up.

...and more effort on the behalf of the seller.

Get one or two big boxes and get it couriered. Shouldn't be to much.

Rotors should go in same box, as Grennan said, less boxes the better.

They're hub in rotor 330mm rotors, so they would be topping 20kg between them I reckon..
