Just saw this on carsales...
1990 LAMBORGHINI COUNTACH 25TH ANNIVERSARY Private Cars For Sale in VIC - carsales.com.au
......................
.............................
......................................but why?????
Calm down it's only a replica.
Welcome to the internet where people have opinions that you might not like
It's a kit car, hardly worth 65k
Cheap, fast, reliable.....you only get to choose two.
I think the description is a bit missleading. the vehicle details says 12 cylinder Unleaded Aspirated 5.2 L (5167cc) and in the comments it is a v6
Glenn
As above, it is a kit car
50LTRv8
If he's trying to pass it off under the Lambo Countach category, it will automatically select the engines available to the car in that time. Users have no control of that.
ie. For a 2004 Commodore, it will give you the choice of
*3.8L Ecotec
*3.8L Ecotec S/C
*3.6L Alloytec
*5.7L GenIII V8
Doesn't matter if you've done an engine swap, it's the original engines available at the time

The VZ is here! About time!
I saw a nice black SSV sedan down at the local dealership for that price today. I would much rather go with that, can you imagine if someone wanted to drag and all you had under the hood was a modified ecotec.

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Apples and oranges.
If you like the look of the kit car, and its built well, its worth that to someone. As said, the same motor in a commodore pulled 13 seconds, and weighs a lot more. The real Lambo was good for low 11s, so its got a chance of getting reasonably close to that, and will use a crapload less fuel.
There probably wont be a huge real world performance difference between this one and the real thing, it would probably beat the SSV in a drag. Its just errmmm 'minor' differences like build quality, handling, brakes etc. and of course the fact that no matter how many suckers you can convince you own a Lambo, in your heart you would always know its a fake..
I'm all for unique...but seriously to the guy who owned/built that car...
DUDE...ARE YOU ####IN RETARDED!!!!!??
This replica could possibly be at least 2 secs faster than a Quatrovalve
As the above sentence states, hardly worth an entire thread.
shoulda put 2 ecotec's, then it would have been a v12
dont sweat the petty... pet the sweaty...
Why would anyone buy a $65,000, Holden Commodore powered with a Renault gearbox, 90's Lambo based kit car?
"But i warn you , it will turn more heads than the latest offerings by lamborghini today."
Yes it will, followed immediately buy "What the hell is that?!" and "Why does that Lambo sound like a p-platers Commodore?"
Plus it's a kit car, you've go to wonder who built it? It wasn't Lambo or Holden, it's a man from Caroline Springs in Victoria... well known supercar territory...
Just no... it's so wrong...

But out of all the engines to pick from, why settle for an ecotec v6?
But guys...it has the wiper motor from a bus! And the speed o gauge reads 300kpa! (not sure why this instrument reports pressure instead of velocity, but it IS a major selling point!)
whoever buys that car needs to contact MACE asap and get some manifold spacers!!!!
I think its a beast and for the right price it would be a fun car to have.
$65000 is no the right price though, 10-15k would be more like it
